Last time i looked at a globe of the World, and i must admit its been a while, i seem to remember that there were more Countries than the US,Canada,New Zealand and Australia in the World. Was Europe some how rubbed off the map without me knowing?
Why not just call it a World tour of Countries that dont include Europe and Asia? Ppfftt! World tour my Ass. What in fact has happened with this so called World Tour is that they wanted to open it to North America to try and added two of Countries with smaller gaming communities in so they wouldnt be accused of playing favorites by just relasing it in North America. Im glad Australia and New Zealand got in but you can hardly call it a World Tour without Europe and Asia. |

Meh, I'm a European and I'm playing it. They don't actually physically check what country you live in ;)
That being said, performance is much less impressive than during the closed beta. This of course due to the much higher server population. Even now camping is an issue. AC (retired); EQ (retired); DAoC (retired); Horizons (retired); EQII (retired); CoH (retired); AC II (tested); Lineage II (beta); Neocron (tested); Saga of Ryzom (beta); SWG (retired)... |

Wow, it's a World Tour of Middle Earth, you know, as in Tour the World of Middle Earth. It has nothing to do with RL Earth, so the first response to the OP is based on misinterpretation.

I agree with u here, i'm from Egypt (which in Africa/Middle-East, for people who don't know what Egypt is :P), i think that they should know DSL is everywhere around the world now, people play MMOs from everywhere, so u're right, what if someone from Africa, Asia or South America wanted in, ah well! In the end i got in, tried it for a bit, but as i didn't like WoW's style, i have to say 'I' didn't like the game, time for me to go back to EQ2 now, hehe. Btw, i 'think' that there's a World Tour version for Europians, not sure though! Egyptian, 27 |

I don't see the problem, they said out loud they do not forbid europeans and outside-us/aus/nz people with foreign IPs to play their american servers..... they promised there will be no such ban.
And if you're intersted in a server made specially for yourself you can play under codemaster's servers... This game is so much like Wow though =x |

Anyway, I tried the game and made all races and most of the classes as well. I did not play them to much, mostly because the huge server lag but it is an okay game. Not as good as I hoped for but it can be played.
I for one will not pay for this game, simply because I do not find it that good. Maybe after a time, when a few patches came out and they made some changes. I like how classes and their skills work (Minstrel being my favorite). The graphics looks good as well, especially the characters. The best part for me was the tutorial missions, where you act in a little story, different for each race. Those parts have the LotR feeling, but not the others. I guess it is because of the huge masses. I prefer smaller crowds and that is better for the feeling as well. I suggest the Tour for everyone who can try it for it is free and you can see things for yourself. Maybe you even get to like it. |

I do not know whats the problem of lag, I live quite far from the server location, downloading forbidden content [lol, joking] on the background while playing and am not lagging, how can I see my exact amount of MS?
I think this has to do with closed ports in firewalls and routers... that - or ISP problem |

"During the World Tour, players will be able to advance up to level 15 and experience the most authentic online persistent recreation of Middle-earth ever created." The most authentic online persistant recreation of Middle-earth I ever experienced was a Neverwinter Nights server - not this! |

I played it over this past weekend and the world is pretty. There was some lag in towns but it seemed very linear to me. More kill animals, bring stuff back and repeat. But then it's really the same in all MMORPG's pretty much. it just did not make me want to run out and buy it is all. Just my opinion.
