Stupidity is the basic building block of the universe. -Frank Zappa |
Doesn't have to be in Q2, Q3, or any quarter. Doesn't have to be in this year. Hell, doesn't have to come out next year. Doesn't have to be a big media hog game, can be an underdog, low budget. Doesn't matter. Just simply, what game do you most anticipate?
I know most of the choices are the mainstream games, because well, they're main stream and it's more convientent. If your game doesn't apply, put 'other.'
If your game is in the 'other' category, please post it.

I am looking forward to many of the games you listed. Since I could only choose one I chose Warhammer.
The cool thing is there are a ton of games that look like they will be fun: WAR AoC Huxley Tabula Rasa Cronicles of Spellborne Exteel Fury Darkfall Gods and Heroes Pirates of the Buring Sea Now we need to get someone working on a MMO version of Mechwarrior. If the makers of Eve did Mechwarrior I would gasm! |

Guild Wars 2 and GW: Eye of the North and Age of Conan being the top of my list, I would do anything for a better SWG. Seriously...
As for other games... Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy 13... Does two are enough to drop 600 for a ps3. MGS4 is enough alone...

Darkfall, naturally. I guess I still have hopes for WAR, so that's number two for me.

i voted other. right now i'm following AoC, tCoS, Aion, and of course always hoping that something gets done with SWG, but the game that shows MOST of what i'm looking for in a mmo would be Fallen Earth.

Other. Im waiting for RO2, will determine whether or not i quit the MMO genre all together.
I look at your list and i see: Wannabe WoW 1 Wannabe WoW 2 roman version Wannabe WoW 3 ..etc Im so sick of WoW and the companies trying to copy it im about ready to admit that the MMORPG genre has totally gone down the toilet. There are a very few select upcoming games that are going to attempt to break the mold, but the most important question is yet to be answered; Will they actually end up with a respectable player base, or will they just get crushed under foot by the generic blizzard giant. I figure it as, EQ1 came out in 1999, WoW is basically an easier, nicer looking "MMO for dummies" version of EQ1; WoW came out in 2004. So, im thinking that around 2009 the "new to MMO's" crowd WoW's mass marketing brought in will start getting bored of what we did all those years ago, and MMO's will start evolving again from where they left off. Like it or not, WoW set back the entire MMO genre by several years because it sold so many copies to players that were new to MMO's. Since they are in the majority now, and didn't get to play classics like EQ1, its all new to them, and we have to wait for them to get bored before any company makes a hard, serious attempt to break the generic, cut and paste formula WoW has set forth. Marketing and bottom line are the determining factors in our MMO market now, not quality or originality (VG cough). Why im waiting for RO2, Korea has its own market, and as far as games are concerned, is in its own little world. It will probably have a nasty grind and be really hard to get gear, but at the very least, it wont be like playing WoW all over again with diffrent graphics. God bless America, the country ran by corporations that pounce like hungry wolves whenever their competitors release something that sells well. |

I think you overreact.. Just b/c some of those games are in a fantasy setting it doesn't mean they want to be WoW >.> before you say something.. read about all those games.
I don't understand it.. ppl now think that every single game in the world is a wow rip off o_O |
