My perfect MMO would be an xwing like space mmo with real time combat and joystick control. I couldn't find any mention of this on Darkspace's website. So does this game allow joystick control?

Hmm good question. I have a joystick, throttle and rudder pedals but I don't use them for Darkspace. It only takes place on a 2D plane in 3rd person view which at first may sound limiting but believe me is absolutely necessary! And it works wonderfully. You don't even realize it's all on 1 plane when playing.

You can maneuver your ship just fine with the keyboard. Between maneuvering your ship and knowing when to fire certain weapons you have all the control you need.

I've often wondered what Darkspace would be like with 3D space and controls like the Xwing series or Freespace. And it made me realize that the game would be way too complicated. You'd have to play the game to know what I mean.

This game is gr8 anyway who whant 2 learn 2 use theyr brains in a combat {not jut hit 1 2 3 becouse some1 told u and bang thay guy is dead} PLAY DARKSPACE
