Hey guys I know there's probably a lot of these forums around, but was trying to get some help and see what MMO's are out there (or coming out) that I could play. I've played SWG, EQ1, EQ2, and FFXI and loved them all (hated WoW when I tried it). Just looking for a game where: Environment is not immature like WoW. That monthly fee always helps. Want a game that's coming out or has been out for less than two years. Can't stand joining a game and being so far behind. Don't really care too much for PVP unless it's PVP like SWG. More of a PVE MMOer. Don't care what time frame it's in. And pretty important: I need it to not be so damn graphic intensive. I play on a laptop and am in college and can't afford a better laptop. I could play FFXI, WoW, SWG and EQ1 great, but when it came to EQ2 I had to run with settings kinda low. And I could barely play Vanguard at all, even on the lowest setting. So... any suggestions?? |

Lord of the Rings Online. Meets *all* of your criteria. Can get a Pre-Order box for $10 and try the game out in open beta, which starts in a few days. |

keep an eye on pirates of the burning sea? ge of conan lies more in the sameline as the mmorpg's you previously played but my guess is that to play age of conan you need a verry solid computer.Chronicles of spellborn is in many ways refreshing and i THINK it will need a less powerfull computer then age of conan.I also play on a laptop like you so kinda have the same "problem" allthough up till now i never had a problemgaming. But then i haven't played vanguard... |

all new games that are coming out has a great graphic, that are p2p i will say. That I'm waiting for atm is Huxley and Age of Conan. Those 2 will be the best games i think.

CoV is an amazing game to play casually a couple times a week with friends. Just don't play 24/7.

Seriously LOTRO was crap, the character graphics were childish fairytale looking, the combat was very basic, and the music was horrible. LOTRO had so much potential but leave it up to Turbine to ruin it.

Originally posted by flakesNot 100% on this but I think AoC will be DirctectX10 required. Thats 250 for windows vista then a DX10 graphic card. Hopefully they don'y make that the required and have a dumbed down version for XP/DX9. On the brighter side of things if you have a PS3 it looks like AoC will be for that as well. ______________________________ |
