I definately would not bank on there being any truth to this.  If there were going to be any "classic" severs created, it'd be done entirely in house by SOE, which really wouldn't be worth  it.

The statement, "The initial release version of these PreCU servers will be just prior to release of the Combat Upgrade publish." Kinda let's you know this is a hoax. SOE has said time and time again that they will never go back. Now they're supposedly going to invest in pre-cu/cu servers?! I think this post is just SOE's way to try and hold on to it's playerbase a little longer while trying to keep the SWEmu peeps guessing.

I think if SOE and SWEmu both come out with Pre-cu/CU servers then your going to see alot of canceled subscriptions anyway. The reason being, we know how SOE regards thier playerbase. Ask them thier opinion and then ignore them and do what SOE wants.

I understand fully about the legality of Emu servers. I also understand that SOE will try thier hardest to shut them down. Considering the codes flexability and ease of use, they'll have a long fight ahead of them. I personally hope the Emu does well and we see hundreds of servers in the first week. *Slaps $OE with a wiffle ball bat" That's what they deserve.

Yeah the rumor is pure bs, SOE has gone too far now and can't turn back. This game is slowly fading from existence, just let it go.

hahahah...... *cough*.... okay, there is no way I would believe something like this even if SOE themselves announced it a few days later, if this guy really knew what he was talking about he wouldn't post a load of crap about not wanting to be IM'd or giving out any of his sources. There's no way i'm going back anyway, SOE can take any publish that comes out now and stick it back up their backside where it belongs, after what happened with the CU and NGE I will never purchase a Sony Online product ever again, if that guys an employee then he can go and show this thread to John Smedley all in big capital letters.
