Do you know an Action MMOG without grinding? Like Rakion or Xiah. But Rakion is not an open world and has too less stages, I think. And Xiah is a grinding game. Is such another MMOG? With an open world? (I prefer it's free, but I have got enough money to buy one or to P2P) Erm...yes. |

Google "MMORPGMaker" if you want to make your own MMORPG. |

I think the closest you'll get to what I believe you want is something like Planetside. Another nice action mmog, but which isn't an open world, is City of Heroes. At least it has more action in its combat than most other mmorpgs.

Battlefield is an online shooter, not an MMORPG. And I don't like Games, which are playing in the Present or Second World War.-----Fantasy is top and future is ok. I found RYL, it also sounds interesting! But is it grinding? (DAMN, I HATE GRINDING SO MUCH!!!) Erm...yes. |

There's absolutely nothing worthwhile about RYL if you like action games. Guild Wars has almost no grind, but it's not an open world. All of its content is found in instances. That said, there's actually a decent amount of PvE content in it, and it has great PvP. Planetside is a MMOFPS that is futuristic in theme. BF2142's tech level is near future. Try out the demo to get an idea of how it plays. It's not like BF2 or BF1942's setting.
As far as MMORPG's that have more of an action feel to them, City of Heroes and DDO are both options. I'd try the Dungeons and Dragons Online free trial to see what you think of it. CoH can be somewhat grindy later on, though, but it remains fun if you like the combat. DDO is like GW in that the content is found in instances, but it's actually pretty well done. The only problem with DDO is that you might end up running out of instanced missions and repeating them. I hear this problem is solved since they've added many more. CoH, GW, and DDO all have good levels of support in terms of new content being added. |

Lord of the Rings Online very much follows in the vein of games like WoW, in terms of how it doles out XP through both mob killing and quests, some of which are menial Kill X/Fetch Y type quests. In terms of gameplay mechanics, the two are very similar. I believe the game which promises to give almost nothing for mob killing is Chronicles of Spellborn, which supposedly is going to hand out its XP through quests. |

I think Shadowrun online is supposed to be a FPS action MMORPG but it just went into production so it may be a long time before its ready :(.

The Shadowrun game has no persistent elements at all. It's a FPS with RPG elements that follows very standard FPS game modes, stuff like deathmatch, elimination, CTF, etc. That said, it's actually going to be out quite soon. June 2007 is Microsoft's most recently published official date.
As far as LotRO having grind, grind is a very subjective term. Some people say WoW is not a grinding game because you always have quests to do. LotRO is the same way. Still, while LotRO has a handful of awesome quest lines, and makes good use of story instances, you're going to end up doing some menial Kill X/Fetch Y quests if you want to advance. As far as how the XP is split in terms of mob kill versus quests, it's comparable to WoW. |

Darkfall is supposed to be like that, there aren't even levels just skills you can upgrade and your skill at the game. but god knows when that will ever come out. |

Ah yes grinding is there a MMO where there is no grinding? The answer to that is no. There are always going to be missions / Items that youn need to get "X" amount of or kill "X" amount of to finsh what your doing, or "X" amount if something for faction or something else. It's an unavoidable situation in MMO's
