You rate the game as bad or anything below a 7 and each person thats done this has like 10 people saying they don't agree :D However the people rating Vanguard a 9+ have like 10 people saying they agree with the review. Rofl i bet it's the same people just doing it over and over again :S What i find even stranger is these vanbois are never playing the game but always on forums or gamespot flaming people. I bet they're emo's who think it's kool to like a game noone else likes even though they dont like it too.

For instance, people may have jobs, hence may jump into the forums once in a while, e.g., me.

Second, other than making a weak attempt at taking potshots at the games fans here, do you have a point? You feel the fans here are better? Worse? Perhaps this is really a secret message. What I find strange is that someone that clearly dislikes the game spends their time perusing forums for that game, so they can complain about it, or it's fans. Emo indeed.

Of course, FoH and all the uberguilds are doing this, they do it in game, I don't see why they wouldn't do it offline, where it cost nothing. They have nothing better to do then to actually do this, endlessly, just like raiding and dkp was exquisitely fun for them...or so they would try to make you believe! Facts about the Vanbois: - They are fews. - They usually mutli-box. - They are l33t and rudes. Even WOW forums is full of less whining little babies than MMORPG

That's extremely deceptive. Vanguard should get a 5 or below on EVERY review for thousands of negative reasons. To give it any higher is to DECEIVE those who think of buying it. Deception is NOT cool. People should know what they're getting into, not be lied to by puffed-up dillusional vanboi's exalting a game that deserves to die, a company who lies through their teeth about how "Amazing and Fun" their game is, and positive reviews that ignored the fact the game isn't even finished. I've never been so mad and disappointed at a game's premature release since Civilization 4. In fact, on some website the popular thing to do (and bad) is premature releasing of PC games. It happened all over 2006.

Once word gets out that the game really isn't a 9 out of 10, the rating system for that website will become suspect. The problem with deception is that it only works on very few people. And deceived people make very bad references (they sometimes become haters).

I'm pretty sure that Sigil hired a marketing firm to use Nvidia's old tactics of monitoring and policing forums. It's pretty obvious when you read some of the posts that smack of marketing speak. It doesn't matter. Brad and team have gotten their just desserts for listening to the idiots who frequented the Sigil forums for so long calling for their "hardcore" game.

Vanboi is obviously a variation on fanboi. It's used mainly to point out a person or persons who make obviously untrue postive comments meant to mislead the public into thinking that a game is better than it really is. Ala, Vanboi. I don't use it personally but I can certainly relate. I, like them, want my $50 bucks back I wasted on the game box and plastic.

I like this game alot, on the FFA PVP server. There is player justice, no "zones", lots of player customization. It's like a mix of EQ and Asheron's Call DT. I genuinely like this game, I don't see any of the problems others do with it. I'm not a "vanboi," I'm still deciding whether to get it or not, since I'm afraid for it's future.

Retards here on MMORPG, many of which are in this thread, use Vanboi for ANYONE who enjoys the game. A post could say "I enjoy the game" and Anofahwhatever would then post about FoH, raiding and that person being a Vanboi. MMORPG communities are going down faster than the games. Anofwhatever is a shining example of why. Apparently people arent allowed to enjoy games that others hate. I tried Vanguard, cancelled for now, may be back, depends on fixes.
