Is weather fully implemented in Vanguard yet? I read that it was not finished yet, but that when it was, the world would have dynamic weather patterns that formed and moved about like a real weather system. Sounds excellent, and I was waiting to see how it would manifest iteself in the game. But know, I'm wondering if it's already in. I was in Leth Nurae yesterday and it rained almost all day. I am so absolutely hooked on diplomacy that I have spent many real time days in that city and have never seen rain. Needless to say, I was suprised when the rain started to fall. I also noticed a fog roll in and out one evening as well. The effect was great. A guildie who was scouting out Guild Plots stated that he saw lightening and heard thunder for the first time in the game as well just the other day. Are weather patterns in and just infrequent? Or is the full blown system yet to be implemented? |

Dunno about dynamic weather, but the weather is different from area to area. There are times when it rains, when its clear sky, when its cloudy, when its dark...The weather and lanscapes are extremely well done in Vanguard. Here is a link to a post with many screenshots where you can see the weather firsthand.

I like good weather effects a lot in video games. Even some old ones did it exceptionally well, without a fraction of the technology available today.
So that said, I'd consider it pretty good news to learn they're still working on it. I hope they add more variety, like light foggy drizzle, heavy rain, thunderstorms, sandstorms, blizzards, etc. When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world. |

As someone said there's rain and fog and clouds that move across the sky. There's also falling snow in places like Frostwind Pass. I don't know if I've seen any snow on the ground though. "Because it's easier to nitpick something than to be constructive." -roach5000 |

It ALWAYS rains in Tanvu.
Why'd we Raki have to enter Telon on the wettest frikkin' continent? *sighs* "I am a biotic god! I think things... and they happen!"

Yeah there is weather in the game. Quite nice. But I have some trouble with it: Why on earth does it pour down like in the monsun season in the barren and dry lands around Martok, it just doesn't feel right.
