I've been wondering about this for a while and still haven't seen anything to answer my question. Aside from the Dark Elf in the CGI trailer for the game, there has been no indication that people will be able to play as females in WAR. Does anybody know if people will be able to choose the sex of their character, or if it will be restricted to certain races like other MMOs have done, or if the whole game world is just going to be a huge sausagefest?

Yes, you can choose to be male or female for any race/class combo you choose, with the exception of Greenskins. In their case, you can choose to be either an Orc or a Goblin, but goblins can only play as a Squig Herder or Shaman, while orcs can only play as a Choppa or Black Orc.

In fact I don't think that there are female greenskins in the warhammer world, they're never mentioned in any of the literature I've read. Greenskins may not even be male, they could be asexual..... I do know that in the 40k world, Orks had more in common with fungus than mammels! |

your right about the fungus thing. In both Warhammer and 40k, they are known to be more like fungus. They usually just grow somehow and amass a large force from nowhere.

If you check the screenshot page on the official site, you'll see some female Dwarves. DWARVES!!! If that race allows a choice of females, then most of them will. There are some Concept art of female Bright Wizards and Magus, as well. Only Greenskins are male-only. And let's face it, who wants a female Orc? Seriously. |

These questions are starting to get a little rediculious. Yes, of course there will be female, except for Orc who reproduce through spores. The only games that limet Gender by Race a shotty Asian games that don't even do well in their own country.

quick primer for the terminally lazy:
you can play as both sexes for all races except greenskin, the choice there is orc or goblin. you can take your character to any battlefront, dwarfs can fight for the empire, etc. you cannot have order and destruction characters on the same server. there will not be cross faction communication. the game is centered around PvP, and so balancing decisions are made for those reasons. WAR is not WoW. these are the most commonly asked questions, that 30 seconds of research would reveal. any further enquiries i direct to the offical FAQ. |

They've shown female dwarf toons of all four professions (or rather, the same female dwarf decked out for each of the four professions). There have also been concept art images for female knights of the blazing sun, female magus, female warrior priests, female zealots, and female witch hunters. That's all the empire careers - just leaves chaos chosen and marauders that we haven't seen concept art for.
