I have been looking around at different joysticks, but I would like to know if there are any specific recommendations from you guys? Especially as I am not sure which ones are compatible with SWG and which aren't. I have a gamepad, but I don't like the console controller styling. I'd nuch rather have an aviation-style joystick, around $30-$40 if possible. Thanks, guys.

I use the Saitek X45. It's a 2-piece stick with the left handed side using the rudder. The price tag is a bit high at $70, but you won't find a better method of control. I've never had any compatability problems with it and SWG, and it makes me a much better pilot. Rytch - Jedi |

I've been looking at some of the Saitek's and I do like a couple of 'em. I'm gonna look for the one you mentioned. I just didn't wanna shell out bucks for something that wasn't supported by the game. |

I use an old MS Sidewinder 3D pro :D As for support, basically if Windows supports it, SWG will too. |

I have a microsoft usb sidewinder but I do not think they make them any longer. Might get one on ebay worked fine in SWG for me. If I had to buy a new one it would be a CH flight controller.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys. I finally decided to order the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro 12 button. It'll do for now. But when I get some extra cash, I'm going for the Saitek X52 Pro. That thing is awesome!! |

tbh JTL can be played just as good or even better with the mouse, remember it's a mmorpg flight sim so it means best equip win... It wont be like the other flight sims out there.

To an extent, yes good gear is going to make you better but good gear can only go so far. Your ability to control your ship, turn at the right speeds, roll/pitch at the right time, etc is just as important.

Yeah, that's why I want a joystick, is the control over pitch/yaw, etc. I've noticed it's pretty hard to do mini-adjustments with M&K. Plus I think the joystick just increases the immersion factor alot.

I use a Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold, it is a lil older model, not sure if it still being made but it works awesome On Ahazi i was easily in the top 10 ranked on flying a ship, but that comes down to skill over equipment, you have to get good at flying, just bc you have a good joystick doesn't mean much if you can't fly |
