It always makes me very depressed when play on an empty server, when I log in and there is no one to group with,,
What’s the point of having so many Servers if they are half populated or empty.
I d love to see only two servers : one for PVE and one for PVP players,so everyone who loves eq2 could play together on one server.... so if it gets crowded, just open another instance of the same zone, if we can have Antonica 1 ,2 and 3, I don’t mind having even Antonica 10 ,,,, at least it would be a lots of people to play with and economy would bloom ..... And if you wish really prefer an empty world just log into the last/latest emptiest instance with the minimum people
The reason i d love to have only one server is, that i love to play with people and not to run trough an empty server,
I d love to be able to meet and play and trade with everyone who plays ever quest 2
and because zones are instanced in eq2 this is possible by adding just extra instance of the same zone when more people login |

A while back they did merge a lot of servers to increase population. I cant speak for most servers but Permafrost and Blackburrow are usually packed with people. But the thing to keep in mind is also the TIME OF DAY in which you play. I like to solo a lot so i discovered if I want free access to things without fighting for the mob I play when most people are at work or at school, which in my area seems to be M-F between 6am - 2pm EST. I noticed a huge server jump in population after 2pm and again after 5pm. The evenings are packed with people and you cant go anywhere without raid groups forming, or just general screams for LFG. So my recommendation would be change the hours you play normally first, see if that changes your populous.
If it still seems a bit low, then you can always try a server move. You take your characters with you, but make sure you read the instructions on how to do this so you dont leave anything behind. |

Permafrost in my opinion is overpopulated much of the day. If I come on to craft in the afternoon, there are 3 people standing around each station. In adventure areas its a happening place even at 2 AM. This server was fairly quiet last spring, but over the summer and fall it exploded in population.
