Anyone know of a  U.S. or foreign EQesque or WoWesque  fantasy/sci-fi themed anime style MMORPG, with strong sexual themes that has character customization on par with City of Heroes/Villains and breast physics?

Falling into a similar topic why do U.S. game developers in general shy away from anything remotely sexual and lean toward violence and realisism art styles(why would I want realism if I'm playing a fantasy game)?  Are there any game developers with vision and balls out there willing to develop games with more animeish, stylized art along with sexual themes to the genre of games like EQ and WoW?  Is shooting a virtual character more moral than more sexually charged/ inspired  virtual characters?

Serious, mature replies please.

Are you looking for Lineage 2 style art or is it a gameplay issue?

Idea''s are like butterfly''s they live, they die, they''re useless.

If you want to jerk it to some hentai, then go jerk it to some hentai there's always Virtual Girl 2  for you out there.
And to answer the US question on sex and violence, ever watch the news or any TV shows? Its ok to kill, assault, and pillage but rape is out of the question.

Yes something similiar in art style as Lineage II but with a high amount of character customization like you'd find in CoV/CoH along with EQ, WoW, Vanguard esque depth.  Gameplay is also an issue for me.  Ive tried both Lineage II and CoV/CoH and game play quickly bores me, both are very repetitive.

Also, as a reminder I'm looking for mature, constructive responses.  I also want to remind people that sexual means a lot of things to different people.  Red Sonja, Trinity from the Matrix, and Cat Woman are very sexual figures but it doesn't mean they go around having XXx sex with everything that walks.

This isn't an issue specific to mmo's, you'll have to go bark up the game censorship tree.

Dead or Alive volleyball got rated mature, while Battlefield is teen, for the same reasons. Kids are more likely to take after games portraying females as chunks of sex, than games where people are being killed.

Regarding art, I think you'll find that any game with developer from Asia usually presents the female avatars in a more sensual light. Unfortunately, as far as I know, the gameplay does not reflect in any way the sensuality of the avatars.

I really don't care much about sexual content, and whether the game contains it or not, but if there is any sexual content, then it should really fit with the rest of the game, Age of Conan does it right, with brothels, Neocron too, you'd expect strippers and hookers in a cyberpunk environment, but when there's people wearing lingerie with an armor rating of 1000, it really takes away from the immersion.

But thats just my opinion.

DaoC, EQ2, DnL, WoW, GW, SWG, AC, Tibia, WAR - atm: EvE and LotRO

it's because major mmogs come from the US or Asia, with both cultures having a very (VERY!) unbalanced relation to sexuality. It is that simple. If ever a Scandinavian or Benelux-Crew made a successful MMORPG, sexuality would have a sensitive, realistic and serious implementation, I take a bet on that (mainly because it will never happen) ...

Problem with most eastern games is that female warriors tend to end up with a metal bikini+thong as high level tank armor, which is pathetic ^^ I do agree though that sexyness and even nudity shouldn't be seen as such a big deal. I always wonder why the so called "mature community" still can't handle some naked skin, while ripping other people's head off is alright.

There is only one answer to this: US developers make their games for the US audience.

We just saw this on the Vanguard beta forums last week. One day the developers enabled all the characters basic clothing options, to give the players more choice to customize their toons. One of the 4 female choices was a very conservative bra with very conservative tiny shorts and a short skirt on top. Mark my words, this was nothing like Lineage 2, it was VERY conservative.

You know what ? This generated a thread of about 20 pages, titled "If I wanted to see naked elves I would play WOW". Many people were terribly shocked and angry to see this. Fortunately many posted for some balance.

American puritanism at its best. Many are brainwashed since childhood, religion plays a big part in it (everyone knows that Jesus was born with his clothes!), but it is not only due to religion, it's just a very conservative country.

People enjoy seeing someone being shot in the head, but they are shocked when they see a bra. Kinda sick if you ask me.
