I'll have to do some digging on the official site. Alot of the server improvements were implemented in the 16.4 patch and most of the other stuff is being added in over time up to LE's launch. I'll see what I can find and link it here for ya Edit: I remember Sil stating a bunch of the improvements being made, but searching through his posts, let alone the rest of the site over there, is becoming a frightening task I have started a new thread on the official forums asking for facts regarding any improvements being made before, with, and after LE's launch, so it may take a little time to get the right responses. But I will keep you informed with what I find out. |

The graphics aren't beautiful, everyone can agree on that. But let's talk about the core of the software. I can run HL2 and get great FPS. I play Oblivion with everything turned up and it runs great with maybe a little lag in areas with tons of plantlife. But when I run Anarchy-Online my system crawls along. Even with the "new" graphic resource loading system they put in place with update 16.4, it's not any better. All they did was allow you to zone and then all the buildings/trees/etc loads a little at a time. I still lag all the time especially when in the player cities. It's so bad that most people re-log when they enter a city for an Alien raid. This game lags on my system graphically and uses very old DirectX technology and I've got a great system I just built.
Anarchy Online 2 is what is needed! The game's economy is destroyed from old exploits, pvp is all about money, and the new expansion isn't even really a true expansion but one big update with just a little content. The new expansion added tons of new bugs that FC is trying to clean up. Funcom is an anal-retentive egotistical group of people who fail to recognize the problems, fail to hear the customers suggestions or wishes. They remind me of the Bush administration. Failure, failure, failure, and nobody takes the blame or admits to being wrong. Funny, how insane is it that this thread was started 3 years ago suggesting that the graphics be udpated and here we are... 3 years later... SAME SUGGESTION. This is a suggestion that's been made a billion times in the official forums. You should see the bug lists for each profession in the official forums. Those lists/suggestions haven't been touched in YEARS. lol |

This is the wrong forum for your goofy political views Hypo. You have done nothing but spew your negative attitude towards AO since you started posting here at MMORPG.com. We get it. You are disgruntled at Funcom and think AO is old. Really? Master of the obvious winner! If you care about the game give us a constructive opinion next time. Otherwise maybe it's time to change your game to something you like. |

It's people like you that put off funcom from upgrading the graphics to begin with. Times change computers double in power every 18 months its moore's law if you don't like that fact then give up playing mmorpgs. It's time to upgrade from eniac the world isn't going to stop progress because some cheap bum can't afford new pc equipment as times make the older tech outdated. I also find it so funny that you resort to profanity when faced with this truth which just proves that your a dumb kid that needs to grow up and face the reality that things change, adapt or die. |

 u all keep on about the low end rigs and how upgrading ao graphics engine would give trouble playing the game how about the people like me who have paid for an high end rig (sli). when i try to play ao on my rig it takes me more than five minutes to get out of a busy area (borealis, athen ect), this makes it impossible to play, also my son plays swg also on an sli rig he gets no probs and much better graphics, funcom thinks the euro is the same exchange rate as the dollar, IT ISN'T this means swg is $19.99 the same as oa but my son pays £9.99 we live in the u.k. ao changes the $ to euros charging 19.99 euro's and then changes the euro to gbp (great britain pounds) this costs me £13.47 at the exchange rate at the moment an extra £3.48 for crappy graphics and a less complicated game. END OF LONG MOAN !!! (not that funcom will take any notice anyway) instead of buying lost eden i will buy swg (also cheaper to buy ) |

i think that there should be some improvement on the grafic of AO.
