I'm new to the game and if I'm looking for a high-dmg ranged class good for pvp and role playing should I go with the hawkeye or the silver ranger? Also if there is another ranged class that is good in both (pvp+pve) what is it?

I've heard that SR has more speed, so can better run away, shoot, run, shoot etc. But HE has better Crit hit's. I dunno, it's your choise what you want to be :)

SR- Self buffs = PvE. Higher DEX = higher move spd, atk spd, Crit rate HE - cant miss so easy, Higher normal dmg, higher HP, Slower atk/move speed than SR SR is better for PvE but for pvp deffinetly go for HE

With prophet buffs Hawkeye>Silver Ranger Without prophet buffs Hawkeye<Silver Ranger! In overall both are good! HK has does more damage,crits,has more life!SR has more speed,agility,faster attacking speed!

Pve= Phantom Ranger or Silver ranger (both have lower hp and threat reduction) Pvp= Hawkeye, most hp and damage of the 3, also has snipe, which is great for sieges Pking= I don't mean pvp I mean griefing, go with silver ranger because you can run faster. The main thing with archers is the weapon, get the best possible weapon, it doesnt matter pvp, pve, focus all your money on buying a new bow and ammo (you need to buy ss too).

The Hawke eye (HE) is an power house archer. they are somewhat slow movement speed, with super high str. the silver ranger (SR) is the fastest class in the game. you can kite pritty much anything you want when u got ur speed buffs working for u. the only con's i have noticed with ether one is that SR has low def and get's hit for alot. and don't have much str so they can't carrie a large amount of arrows & Soul Shots (SS). the HE on the other hand is that alot of players have this class and alot of them tend to get ganked. they don't have a high evasion rate so they do get hit alot. that's why i'm likeing the dark elf race becuz there's in the middle of human and light elf. ^^ but for you my friend i'd say going with HE just have a partie helping you out and ur set.

Self buffed SR can take down an HE However, buffed (Which you normaly will always be buffed) HE's are probably the most powerful class in the game. Advantages SR- Run Speed - Atk Speed - Crit Rate HE- Damage per hit - higher crit damage

Funny how people got SR stats mixed with the HE ones. Overall, archers are way overrated. It's all about mages. SpellHowler for M attk, SpellSinger for Cast spd, or my favorite, Overlord, the orc mage which uses steal essence to heal yourself and is a pretty decent nuke. They are about in the middle for m attk and cast spd and have a good M def and P def. To start out with though I suggest SpellSinger.
