Played this game for 4 days. My character is rc12 atm. While the game was fun at the start now its shown the truth.
Its just another silly asian attempt to make a mmorpg. At first look it looks like a copy of silkroad online (altho this game IS better than that crap). The downtime (regenerating health/vitalty) is decent enough at start. But the higher in levels you get the slower and slower it gets. To a point where the regeneration is so obscene you wonder wtf the developers are smoking. The game is very unfriedly towards players at start, you dont get much help at all. Basicly you end up figuring out stuff on your own or find someone more experianced that can help you explain how things work. If it werent for the sickly amount of downtime in this game i would rate it high. But as it is now its just so boring. My score: 4/10 (just because of the downtime, if it werent for that it would be up at 6-7). |

i agree with the downtime comment, it gets worst as you go up in levels. way worst. As for the player help in the beggining, i had to figure stuff out myself.

You know I sometimes limit myself to the f2p games I try, because they always end up korean grindfests. However, I've been playing Rappelz lately and I have to say that it's the best f2p eastern game I've played. I'm level 16 (which didn't take long), and I have a bunch of quests to do, and I've only died once. I was thinking of trying 9 Dragons out, but now I don't even know. If it's not better than Rappelz, I don't even want to waste my time.

well, i find 9 dragons way better then Rappelz.. The thing about 9 dragons it has a asian look with a kinda western feel to it, altho theres ALOT of grinding in it.. but the whole martial arts aspect in it, is really well done and looks badass.. but i think you should give it a go if you havent tryed it.. |

I didn't like the grind. It gets very very annoying. I didn't like the weakness or maybe the strength of mobs. You have very limited control over what your character done sin combat. You get a few skills after the newbie levels, but ieven then it limited. Its all about click and watch then once you get a few adds run away.
Quest xp is crap so its all grind. Everyone looks the same. |

I agree with everything doodler222 said.... In my opinion this is the best free martial arts themed MMORPG out there and one of the best free MMORPGs out so far... Defense is broken in this game and healing your self by meditating is slow but both are supposed to be fixed soon... The grind kicks in at about level 45 it seems like but thats to be expected since it's a Korean mmorpg... I mean who plays Korean mmorpgs and expects there to be no grind then complains about it after knowing Korean mmorpgs are like this... Also compared to Silkroad and Flyff the grind in this game doesn't seem so bad |

I think it is one of the best free MMO's out right now. Sure it is a grindfest but hey if you dont like that dont play, it is not like you are wasteing any money. This game is a fun way to play with freinds who can afford to pay a monthly fee to the other major games like WOW. Sure this game has it's problems but people tend to forget it is still in open beta. They still need to work out a few to the kinks.
