Since it's that time of year here's a Wish List thread. Out of pure curiosity, I wanted to see which IP/licenses people would like to see made into an MMO. Now I'm refering to those IP/licenses that don't currently have any MMOs released or in developement. So what's your top three to five you'd like to see?
Here's mine in no particular order: Farscape Shadowrun Dune And to quasi-break my own rule: Planescape (I'm not counting D&D Online becuase it's set in a completely different world) Also, Fallout would have been on this list but it seems like it might get developed, although the details are still a bit sketchy. |

Shadowrun (http://shadowrun-online.com/ - will depend on whether or not MS decides to do anything with this proposal, thus I wouldn't classify it as being in development)
- unique setting, great potential as a MMO, and certainly a very needed alternative to the current selection of MMOs. |

KotOR- It's StarWars but, the main difference is it has nothing to do with the movies beyond the elements of jedi and sith... and uses creatures that are supposedly extinct by the time of the movies...
Mana(secret of mana, sword of mana, etc.)- don't ask why... I don't have a reason and it would probably be the first MMO on the DS if it was done... Star Ocean- not like it would be too difficult... maybe thats square-enix's unnamed mmo... I don't know but can hope and since I don't know i can't say it's in development... Elder Scrolls: I mean seriously... just look at III and IV... they could have been MMOs if the developers had choosen to do so... and thats about it nothing else i can add to this at the moment |

Well three of the ones that I have been wanting are in the works: Star Gate, Fallout and Firefly so I am happy.
But I wouldn't mind seeing ones made for: Gamma World Parania Top Secret (some old school RPGs) Also would be neat for: Aliens vs. Pred, GI Joe, Thundercats, Thundar the Barbarian. -------------------------------- Looking forward to: Guild Wars 2 Quit: Eden Eternal, Wakfu, DDO, STO, DCUO, Sword 2, Atlantica Online, LOTRO, SWTOR, RIFT, Earthrise, FFXIV, RoM, Allods Online, GA,WAR,CO,V:SoH,POTBS,TR,COH/COV, WOW, DDO,AL, EQ, Eve, L2, AA, Mx0, SWG, SoR, AO, RFO, DAoC, and others. |

Seiken Densetsu (A.K.A. Secret of Mana series) - if done with the first 3 series in mind, you know the super nintendo ones...The later games sucked.. Pokemon - I know you guys equate it to childish and whatnot, but I think it has alot of potential, because the world setting is different, and alot of cool and different stuff could be done, like better use of AI. That's all I can think of... I would have only put pokemon, but someone said the secret of mana series, and that game has my favorite "world" out of all the other games. |

Star Wars : KoToR -- Same universe without the handcuffs of the galactic civil war. Storylines can develop, jedi and sith are in the game without much of a limit. No iconic characters ( ' ; D&D Dragonlance -- Yes, st in the War of the Lance, probably very low interaction with the characters. I think it would be amazing to play in this universe. Call of Cthulhu

Wheel of Time- With a heavy emphasis on global scale politics as well as regular adventuring Dragon Lance- I just really like how the system is set up to become and study as a Mage One Piece- PvP heavy, pirate based world. Naruto- RvR mission based combat. The different ninja villages would get conflicting missions to carry out, which would end in pvp. |

Shadowrun! This game has the best chance at dethroning the success of World of Warcraft. It will likely be a huge hit in the States if it were properly designed and developed. Fantasy setting: Trolls, Elves and Dwarves are present. You have magic users "Native Americans". Science Fiction: From implants to hardwiring your self into the matrix when hacking security panels for corporate secrets, it's here! Corporate Espionage: Work for a pharmeticual corporation and steal secret memo's that detail the intentional release of bio-waste that created the mutations. Learn how the food shortage was staged in order to allow for corporations to profit. Dragons: These are not just massive warmachines, they are living creatures that have been awakened by the shamans who wish to reclaim their lands. But are they controllable? Shadowrun would most deffintly make serious headway in the online gaming environment. I would hoep someone with similar vision to what Crowd Control Productions has exhibited with their creation EVE Online would be able to bring this game to life. Risk Vs. Reward should be the mainstream approach of a game of this calibre. Make it approachable for the basic player while escalating the return of your investment. Grinding would suck. But a corporate based questing system that's as polished would excell. Death. Your character should not be immune to catastropic failure. While failure should not be crippling it should most deffintly get your pulse going when you know you're characters reputation is on the line. I want to see an adequetly developed Shadowrun MMORPG! |

Battletech But that said I really don't want IP based mmos, that just places unnecessary limits on what the devs can and can not do with it. "Memories are meant to fade. They're designed that way for a reason." |

1. SWG2-Made by anyone other than Sony based off KOTOR , Pre episode 1 or the original Sith Wars. That would open the content up much much more for play style and story line.
2. Harry Potter MMO- I know its been talked about MANY times but i believe IF done right this could be a very cool mmo. There are different wizarding schools throughout the world so you wouldnt be limited to just hogwarts. Only problem is with the 7th and final book coming out the content might be limited to how much you could stretch the story and not piss fanatics off. |
