Great clip. Very good editing and outstanding music. Ive seen it before
some time ago, but enjoyed it seeing again. I hope this clip will
encourage other people into trying PS. This game is a great game. Yes,
it has its flaws, and the pop is getting smaller and smaller, but its
still a lot of fun. Now if only I could convince my counterstrike buddy
to try this game for free, but hes just too lazy to DL it , GRRRRRRR
I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time. |

It's free up until battle rank 6, command rank 2 I believe.

PS is a great game, imo. I played it for 1 1/2 years on and off. Fast paced, multi-weaponed, multi-vehicled massive battles. There really is no other game like it. Some would compare BF2, or WWII online, but neither of those holds a candle in terms of massively fps. The battle rank and command rank systems, although they add the ability to be certified in more weapons and armour units, they don't exclude you from being able to use any of the games weapons or vehicles. The system does not play an integral part of the game so the F2P system will not hamper your gaming. Definetely a game I would play. Eternally mine,

I play it in cycles...a few months at a time, then a break for a while. It's fun for a while.

The Reserves Program (free trial) is ending soon- March I believe. This game started off with a lot of potential but SOE has made it a god awful bore. There are hardly enough players anymore to support the game. Gameplay often breaks down and fights often take place in the same area for hours- sometimes days. It's just one giant stalemate. And infantry gameplay? Forget about it. This game is vehicle oriented. The FPS gameplay is purposefully dumbed down to make it newbie-friendly.
Hope you got your things together. Hope you are quite prepared to die. Looks like we're in for nasty weather. ... There's a bad moon on the rise. |

I think the problem planetside has with appealing to MMO gamers is that its just too much like an FPS The problem it has appealing to FPS folks is its too much like an MMO The problem it has with MMO gamers who enjoy FPS is that they charge a monthly fee. its actually a very fun game, it just lacks a lot of accomplishment feeling that you get from other MMO's and IMO isnt worth forking out the monthly charge they have for it. Its one of those games that is pretty much the same from start til end with very few exceptions. |

A good video can do wonders for showcasing a game. I don't care for space games at all, but along with knowing what Planetside is about, that video makes it tempting to try. |

That's Planetside at in it's current form. Three empires lock themselves into a stalemate and vehicle farm for hours. I love this game for being something different, fast, and fun. It does get boreing with the three way stalemates. To the point where I just log off, look at the other servers, see the same thing and just come back later. It's really a shame because it's so fun when you get small/medium size skirmishes over bases and towers or when empires work together to achieve cont. take overs. Hopefully something will change in the future, we all know the developers have wanted to do something but SOE and their trashy ways keep them down.  |

Stalemates occur because players use amateurish tactics. Same with wwiionline, although the result is being slaughtered whenever going on any type of offense.
Game makers need to realize how retarded players are when designing the next MMOFPS game. |

Well while I love Planetside I absolutly hate the fact that SOE is running it (if you can call it that) and seems to have no support for it.. So time to bust its balls..
Anyone thinking about playing this game be aware that hackers are flurishing agian in this game and SOE seems to have no answer for it agian. Not only that but they have yet to address the Dual core problem they have (Dual core users are able to move/shoot/ dodge/heal/hell you name it at insane speeds)..... SOE also seems to have no ingame support (CSR's) that are willing to do there job, because if they did they would be able to ban the people that have been caught hacking day after day after day for the last month since everyone is complaining about them ingame...But I guess the CSR's(DanB you suck) have more important matters to do like watch pr0n or play everquest2. Bottom line this game could be so much more but as usual SOE is ruined it like they ruin all their games..No support, no funding equals crap. I mean we have been waiting for new deployables for alittle over a year now.. Its sad when it takes a game 1 year to add a few additions to the game. But thats SOE for ya! weeeee!!! Bottom line this game is good but Hackers/exploiters/SOE ruins the fun. ------------------------------ |

Its not that bad. Most of the "HAX!!1!" postings and reports are from new users that are just not understanding how things work. I cant say however that hacking dosn't happen.But, then again, what game dosnt have this problem? |
