He disliked AL so much...he leveled from 51-52..then decided he did not like it?

Leveling from 51-52 would take me about two months of leveling...he must have been on almost every day 6-8 hours just grinding for the past 6 weeks.

After level 35 there is a large increase needed between levels...especially without any Chantra Credits

Way back when Anarchy Online was in beta, they announced one of the worst games to release... look at it now, i say give AL a chance before you cut its legs off...

It was already given a chance,it crashed,burned and died a horrible death in Korea. They were forced to make it free in korea due to dwindling a dwindling customerbase. Unfortunately there are companies like Codemasters that somehow get joy from saving dead games and reviving them.

That is your personal opinon and is not shared by everyone...no one is saying AL is the best MMORPG out now.

AL is a simple MMORPG that does not require you to LFG for hours,take 3-5 hours for a Quest/Mission like FFXI,yes it has bugs,few play it,the Programmers at  NHN spends more time sitting on their hands than at the keyboard and so on.

If you think AL is bad go read about Horizons and Dark & Lights billing problems.

I read that AL is cheap as $19.99..the first month is free...so even if someone buys it that cheap and quit after 10 hours...they got the same amount of Game Play as they would have from any other PC Game.

 

I do not understand why some of you get so emo about Archlord...you post as if though you pre-paid for 5 years and bought stock in NHN/CM

The game has a 5.8 review on this site for a reason - yes it's that bad.

Something fans of the game continue to ignore.

5.8 is 5.8 = bad game.

If you want to pay to play a bad game that's your right, but don't come here and mislead new people who might be thinking of trying the game - you have a responsibility to let people know how bad this game is.

a responsibility? Will you please grow up? Its a GAME. it didn't rape your dog or anything, seriously. Learn that your opinion is not a fact, get over yourself. People are enjoying the game, and I'm sure there are many other people not playing who would also enjoy the game. its in their right to try the game, without you people thinking its actually a responsibility to let other people know about your opinion.

If you want to act like you have a responsibility, go to your local hospital and go help out there if you want to do something useful, instead of discouraging people to actually TRY the game first before having an opinion about it.

a person who made lvl 52 in this game over this period of time, is someone who was like constantly grinding/grinding/grinding to trying to be the best..

This is what i already mentioned not needed in this game.. If u have avg server lvl ( witch is now somewhere 40's ) then ur more then good to do guildbattles, pvp events and so on, it will bring u lotsa fun ,and for that u don't have to grind 50 hr's a week.

If u for urself want to be top of the server and u get burned out, it's a personal problem and that has nothing to do with this game beeing good or not.

And as stated before, pointless sentences like "Don't buy this game" ; "This is crap" should never be the title of a topic. we are here to talk about a game, if u don't like a game, then it's ur right to mention, and u should mention what u don't like about it. But scaring everyone off by these pointless topics is stupid and unnecessary.

Archlord is the worst MMORPG I have ever played.   I have never played a game and got bored before the first months subscription ran out...I been playing MMORPG for a long time(10+year) and about 15 Titles but I have never felt the need to voice my opinion until I played Archlord.   Please dont waste your time on this game.

For starters let me explain all the positive side of the game so you dont think I am just venting because of the $50 loss.

   1. Beautiful graphics: fighting sytles, magic spells, pets, npcs, all beautifully done.

   2.hmmm that's about it.

Now, I can list about 100 things wrong about this game but I will only state  the obvious.

   1. 1-10 lvl very nice but after that grind, grind grind and more grind...

   2. Archlord was marketed as a pvp game and it isn't.   Noone really pvps..There is no ranking or bonuses to pvp.

      Even guild battles are hard to come by... Noone wants to do it...you waste gold and time just doing it.

   3.Questing is terrible and boring, same thing over and over..go chick on a rock, tree, statue..etc. You might get few good items from doing quest but experience on them stinks.   And after lvl 20ish you only get like 3 a lvl.

   4.Experience loss due to death...I am not a fan of this.   After 3 hours of grinding and only getting 20% in lvl 35 I died twice w/ in 5 minutes due to lag and bad pathing...ops you lose 6%...BAH!!!

   5.The instance is the same thing over and over and over again.

   6.AI on npcs..NONE

   7.Game is just boring and has no imagination.   If I was brain dead and was forced to watch this game I will wake up and commit "Seppuku"

This game has nothing going for them...You cant even find players anymore just farmers and bots.
