the increased amount of posts on the official boards for increased xp or double xp weekends? Like the game isnt easy enough as it is to level. SOE's new target audience I suppose.

Tried leveling up lately? I'm doing it with an alt right now and it's a pain in the ass. If you know this "easy" way then tell me please.

compared to other mmorpgs its a joke. i haven't played in a ouple month, but go to dantooine, southeast corner i think, or wherever, but you need to find spawn points of rancors. kill them for like 1800xp a pop, depending on your level. as long as you have a snare you should be able to kill them. hell i was almost able to kill them with a level 22 BH, couldn't finish them off cause my rifle wasn't powerful enough to inflict enough dmg. when you get bored of them, go to dathomir, to the southwest corner and there are big spiders and dinos, the dinos go all the way to level 94, same thing, snare and shoot. none of these are elites, super easy to kill. grinding in swg is a joke. |

NGE target audience, always wanting things easier and faster.  I remember it taking me almost 3 months to make master rifleman/master CH, but you know what? I had fun doing it.

Took me a solid YEAR to master Dancer. But I did every single second of it at the keys (no AFK macroing), performing live for customers. (And basically I was missing the last couple of healing boxes, which became very hard to get after a while.) Took me months to master CH, master TKA, etc. I did all of it "au naturale" -- rarely a doc buff, almost never using armor because IMO a TKA should not be in heavy armor... etc. Had a blast. Did not try to rush through it because the thing itself was FUN, so why rush it? I enjoyed going out with my pets hunting, just as I enjoyed playing my dancer. I was in no rush. See, if the activities are fun there is no need to blow past them. Asking to blow past the content or the activities you are doing 2x as fast as normal is tantamount to admitting that the content/activities are fundamentally boring. No surprise, given that it's the NGE we are talking about. C |

At level 57 my Jedi is on Dant killing Graul Level 82 getting 1800 per kill. If you can handle yellow 3 at a time, do that though. 3 x 800 is more than 1800. That 57 toon is 3 weeks old and I am leveling a Tailor on the same server, a commando and a Spy on other servers. Sorry, hard? No.
Did not try to rush through it because the thing itself was FUN, so why rush it? That's the way Swordy was for me. I was trying for Ranger and Swordy was just the method I used to kill stuff. I was a Master Swordy in no time, more by accident than anything. |

Grinding professions in SWG was never hard with maybe a few exceptions. Infact some professions people thought were long grinds weren't they just ground the profession out in the wrong way. Like mastering CH took less then a day if you killed the right thing with the right thing. During the Hologrind I saw one player master thirty professions in under a week. No macros just hardcore play. I wonder how the noobs would handle the first BH grind. Which took me about five months. That was a hard grind, and I was a hardcore player. The game should never be boreing if you are getting bored grinding you obviously shouldn't be playing the game. Even running those BH missions I kept myself entertained. The game let you multitask. I could be running, and entertaining myself in various ways. |
