Being fired.
No way in hell can i get a job, within the next few days. This will prove to be a very interresting Christmas, as i hardly got any money  |

Nah. It was my 'Christmas' bonus. Apparently, they're spending way to many money on expensive booze and whores, so they had to cut back somewhere. |

But seriously, yeah being fired sucks. But you're 17. It's not like you have a car payment, rent, electric, water, gas (natural), gasoline, insurance, cell phone, telephone, cable, internet, and food to pay for. If I got fired, I'm f'd. So yeah, you're more expendable than me. I'm more expendable than someone with a family. It's just the way shit works. Sorry btw. |
Got my apartment ready, moving in at the start of december At least i do have money for November. But as i turn 18 the 6th of december, it's near impossible to get a job right now - Nobody want's a 17 year old, if he turns 18 within a month. It's a waste. I guess i could start my grand adult life being on wellfare, or so. |

Got my apartment ready, moving in at the start of december What kind of job are you looking for that would make you completely unhirable at 17? I'm looking for a job, that would give me a steady income. When someone is looking for a new employee, they want either a kid(13-17 years old, depending on the job) or an adult(18+). In one month from now, my salary will increase by almost 50%, due to me being 18. Now, either i have to find a job that can promise me a specific position when i turn 18, while still having something for me to do at the age of 17. This is kinda hard. A store, maybe? Pure slave work. |

Yeah go for something basic like shop work for now. Alot of places here hire extra for the chrismas season, I'm guessing its similar where you are. The work will only be temporary, but it would get you through till you can look for something better.

Fedex will hire anyone... as will most industrial type jobs. Just don't shoot to high starting out. Get something to pay the bills (McDonalds) and go on interviews for big boy jobs while working there. Get a room-mate to split the bills with. Don't party all the time.

I got let go one time when I just finished building a house and had twins on the way. Got a job 2 weeks later, but with a pay cut. It sucked. I was a carpenter at the time. I am in Construction and you get used to it. Now I have a desk job and been with this company 14 years. It all works out. Sometimes its the best thing for you. |

honestly and also depends on where you live get a job at a car dealership doing detail till then and then hit 18 move to sales. i recently ac of nov 1st will be a car salesman. my roommie is doing it right now and making bank. it also depends on they type of person you are also on how well you do. |

I sold my body for sex, but it did not pan out well, I don’t why but for some reason women didn’t want me, but man there were a lot of guys wanting to pay me money. But anyways, being laid off is no fun, what do you want to do with your life? You are only 17 you have a whole future ahead of you, you just have to plan for it, to be honest I have found that 17 to 25 most people have no idea what they want to do with their lives, so for the time being try something else, what is going hot in your area, is it construction, if so go down and check the companies out and see if they will take you on as an apprentice and learn a trade. I know people in there 50s who start new careers, it’s never the end of the world, and it’s how you look at it. But if all else fails whore yourself out. Bring it on down.
