Blizzard has posted a brief note on the Diablo 3 site to let folks know that the closed beta test for the Necromancer has officially kicked off. Players should check their email and be able to log in and install the special beta client.
The beta will, of course, include the Necromancer as well as Challenge Rifts, new zones called The Moors and The Temple of the Firstborn, improvements to Set Dungeons and Bounties.
The Necromancer is a nod to the series' past and the Diablo 2 Necromancer, though this version has new abilities and a female version as well. Check out the Necromancer Skill Overview.
The Necromancer will be the next fully-playable class introduced to Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. As a master of the dark arts, you draw your magic from the power of death itself, and command mighty armies of risen warriors! Oh, and you can make corpses explode. There are definitely exploding corpses.
