Haven't played an MMO since XIV went south for me (which was thankfully during the free '30 day' period + another 30 day that SE gave to everyone once they realized how they botched up).
Been reading of all things. Baldur's Gate got me into FR and that lead to MUDing, which eventually led to MMOing. Going back to my roots, I just reread pretty much all of R.A.S.'s work up to the latest one, Gauntlgrym.
Overall, this is a better way to spend time than to, say, repeatedly pound a key for hours (whether it be Aion or XIV). The only game I'm still subbed to is EVE, and that's about to run out in a month, and I'm not sure I want to resub. I think I might be done with MMOs. It doesn't appeal to me like it used to.
Until something that looks fun comes out, I'll stick to books.
