I personally love playing the bard class in any MMO I get the chance to. They're the fun loving jack of all trades that are neglected by many players, who want to play their warriors and mages. In a way though, it makes the class unique due to the lack of them ingame.
I started a post in the General Forums Pub listing all the MMO's I could think of that had bards as a playable class and thought I would turn it into a blog considering how popular the thread got.
Everquest1 - Bard
Everquest Online Adventures - Bard
Everquest 2 - Troubador/Dirge
Lord of the Rings online - Minstrel
Ragnarok online - Minstrel
Silkroad online - Bard
NexusTK - Poet
Hero's Journey - Bard
DaoC - Bard - Minstrel - Skald
Vangaurd - Bard
Shadowbane - Bard
FFXI - Bard
SWG - Entertainer
Dungeons and Dragons Online - Bard
Wakfu's - Eniripsa (Class that uses "words" as damage, its kinda a stretch but it could work.)
Atlantica Online's - Minstrel

Are the In-game shots from Bards the ones played by you? If so, how come the Bard from EQ1 is jamming a sword through his eye? Did he loose his guitar! Did someone call him an Emo pu$$y for playing "kum-by-yah" instead of fighting LOL?
By the way, you forgot about Bards from DDO! Ya know; the ones that ALL bards are derived from. And if I remember correctly their is a Bard-like character in GW too.
Wed Sep 05 2007 3:26PM Report@ bartoni33, all Bards are derived from PnP DnD not DDO lol. Even the ones in DDO are not exactly like the PnP Bards.
Wed Sep 05 2007 4:13PM ReportAlthough I do own a bard in EQ1, EQ2, and Daoc; no these bards are not mine lol, I pulled them up from the net. To answer the sword jammed in the eye question -->
The animation for playing a Lute in everquest is bringing the instrument up to your lips and doing a little jig. The bard epic weapon though(the sword there) acts as every type of instrument so you can literally "play your sword". The animation gets messed up and it looks like your stabbing yourself in the face with the old Everquest models.
