Yup, writing this using the new Safari for Windows beta release, and I have to say I'm pleased with how it's working. It's a lot faster than the current Safari in Tiger, but it is version 3, so it should be. Our sites editor still doesn't work, so I have to write this in a plain-jane textarea box, but that's ok. Didn't see Safari being released for windows coming, but maybe I should have... look how popular iTunes turned out to be.
I know one thing for sure, Safari in my mac is going to get a lot less use now. Quite a bit easier to run here in XP than to use VNC to remote to my mac to test stuff.
And you know what else... this post was 3 times long than this, but safari for windows just cut a bunch of it out when posting and I went back to edit, which was there, posted again, even shorter, then going back was the shorter version for all backs. Boooooooooo
I'm sitting here working on a new theme for the site, and checking out what people have been putting in their blogs, and for some reason I start to think, what's something else users, or more specificly me, would like to see and use on this site (that isn't planned).
- Spell check in Firefox using this JS editor, that's for sure!
- A way to see the latest and greatest screenshots from all games on one page, think latest 40 or something.
So, I'm going to put this out there, would this appeal to anyone else? It wouldn't be very hard to impliment, and might get people looking at games that they might not have considered. Oh, and don't get me started on judging a game by it's graphics. We all do it, maybe we shouldn't but we do.
Also, I suppose it goes without saying, but will be said, that if you have an idea or suggestion for the site, fire us and email, forum post, or blog entry and let us know. We will and do read all our emails and many posts (especially if site suggestion posts are in the site suggestions forum!... makes them easier to find, that's for sure!)
Anyway, that's all for tonight, I need to get more bits on the theme done and I'm not being paid to write my opinions, so back at it!
Hi everyone, this is really just an introductary post to say that I will be actually posting real stuff soon. I would be tonight, but now that the blogs are live we are seeing little things we didn't see before that need to be fixed, like non-80x80 avatars and strange rendering issues. Woopie!
It's kind of cool to actually be able to have something on the site like this, I think. I for one would never be able to do articles or features, due to my crappy use of english, which incidently was my worst subject in high school. So at least with this I can write whatever and not have the grammer police on me. (An necessary evil, but we'll see who's laughing when they want pretty pictures...bwa-ha!)
Anyway, as meddle has stated, feel free to let us know of any issues or requests you have with the newest additions.
