Shroud of the Avatar E3 2014 Trailer - Good, Bad or Ugly

Lord British and Darkstarr (Richard Garriott and Starr Long) revealed the latest trailer of Shroud of the Avatar in E3 2014. Unlike most of the trailers that were shown in E3 2014, Shroud of the Avatar didn't have an epic nor cinematic feel to it.

In fact, the trailer used actual in-game footage even though the game was still in Pre-Alpha. Keyword here is Pre-Alpha. Obviously, the game's pre-alpha graphics sucks and some of those who saw it decided to focus their criticisms on it.

Shroud of the Avatar E3 2014 Trailer

Personally, the trailer was okay because it was an honest trailer. Other game developers will put out awesome looking trailers of their games that you won't even see in the game when it's released.

Besides, Shroud of the Avatar doesn't have the budget to put out an epic trailer. I'd rather want Richard Garriott to spend the money developing the game than on a freaking trailer. LOL.

Shroud of the Avatar Montage Pre-Alpha Release 6

Shroud of the Avatar is still in its early development. The look of the game will still change with its monthly Pre-Alpha Releases. Of course, expecting Skyrim-like graphics on a budget of $4 million for Shroud of the Avatar is next to impossible. LOL!

Also, for those who are new to Shroud of the Avatar, don't focus too much on the houses that are offered to backers. Getting a house and land in Shroud of the Avatar will be available to everyone using in-game currency when the game is officially released.

If someone wants to donate $12,000 to the game then so be it. He will get a mansion and a title in-game but the money will go to the game's development.

If someone wants to wait for the game to be finished before deciding to either buy it or not then that's perfectly fine too. writes:
