GENERAL
It's become apparent that Pre-Game guilds have small chances of working out especially when they create the guild five years earlier or the leader goes inactive. I am curious why players join these guilds, though I've been guilty of joining these guilds plenty of times throughout my MMO history. I guess most players do it for being able to discuss the game with others with a similar goal or maybe the hope of a beta invite for the entire guild whatever the case most of these guilds are useless by the release of the game.RANKS
ranks are pretty much the weirdest part of Pre-Game guilds. Usually the guild does not know how ranking goes and ends up creating unheard of names which if they manage to get the guild into the release they realise they can't use. Those who understand the ranking system end up creating positions like Diplomat which are never really used.Goals
Surely you have heard of guilds with their goals and plans for the game, I have and to tell you the truth more than once get caught up into the excitment. I can almost gaurentee that 90% of the time these guilds will not complete one of these goals if as I said before get past the release.Leadership
I know they say that leaders need leadership skills but i have seen quite a few hardcore Pre-Guilds get into release and crumble because their leader is not a talented gamer. To Sum it up
It's easier to just join a guild in-game then Pre-Game because odds are when the game's released not much or nothing is going to go the way as planned
