I'm confused ...

Anyway, here's the press-release:
NCsoft and TransGaming Announce City of Heroes for the Mac
Sure, these fellows will need some help ... the beta will start in a matter of a few weeks, sign up here:
http://www.cityofheroes.com/macbeta/
The requirements are:
- a Mac with an Intel processor
- OS: Mac OS X 10.4.11 Tiger / Mac OS X 10.5.5 Leopard or higher
- CPU: Intel Core Duo Processor
- RAM: 1024 MB
- Video: ATI X1600, NVidia 7300 GT, or X3100 Intel integrated graphics chip (Intel GMA950 not supported)
- Hard Drive: 2.9 GB
The Mac client will use the TransGaming's CIDER technology so it will be a "wrapped" version of the Windows executable ... let's hope the performances won't suffer for this choice.
As I've written on the Lineage BBS, it seems that NCSoft is having a crush with our platform lately ... we all hope that this time it's love ;)
To be honest, I would have liked it better if they chose the good old GuildWars (solid and very casual-friendly) or the upcoming (and really promising) Aion but, you know, it may be the start of something new.
At least I hope it is.

UPDATE: there's a crowdy thread in the official BBS:
Discussion: Good vs. Evil Coming to the Mac!

Thu Oct 30 2008 1:19PM ReportA little while back NCsoft decided to combine both city of heroes and villains into one game giving everyone the chance to be a hero or villian.
