SUN (Soul of the Ultimate Nation) Newbie Review

I started playing SUN (Soul of the Ultimate Nations) Online because I was attracted to its graphics and the i thought it was "Hack and Slash" type of gameplay similar to console games were you have to get close to the enemy and just click a button and they will get hit by it. But to my dissapointment it is not. You have to select the enemy and attack it but still I enjoyed the battle system of it.

I started creating every character and ended up with the sorceress. Character creations is limited and they have gender restrictions on character classes (Females = Elementalist and Valkyrie, Male Berserker and Dragon Knight). And In my own theory when starting a game "casters" is the most suitable one due to their massive damage. When dealing this kind of damages you can kill mobs and level much faster. But anyways there are 4 jobs and then splits of by 2 for each classes. You start off in a small peaceful village and talk to one npc with has a quest icon on top oif it. There are two kinds of quest by the way the campaign (In other words story mode) and side quest (Unrelated to the story). Following the campign quest will lead to other places to explore and contiue on with the progression of your character.

The battle system is fast phased and the skill animation are superbly done, you will enjoy mowing lots of enemy with it (Much like Cabal Online). Character builds is similar to ragnarok where you get stat points every time you level and you can add it into either strength, agility, vitality, inteligence, and etc. However you might double check your build because unlocking new skills uses stat points also. You have to find your own balance to help you progress through the game. You can have all the skills early but your base stat is weak. Or you can have a strong base stat but few skills to use on killing enemies along the way. You can make a hybrid character if you want, if you like to have skills of two jobs.

The environment is not that tiring to explore because it is not as big as WoW or Aion (much smaller). However there are lots of places to explore and like City of Heroes it is full of instances which you can go in by solo or party. There are areas in the map that are highlighted as red, this indicates that it is a pvp zone. When you step in it, you can be killed by other players that are in it also.

In the end you will have loads of fun because of its fast phased action but I don't know if the players will stay that long playing it because it tends to be repetetive. Overall I will give this a 7/10. It is highly recommended for those players that are usually into action rpgames like in the console ones. Stunning graphics plus loads of action, definitely a game worth to play.

Cosplay: I don't know what to say about it.

I don’t want to be mean or anything but you decide. There is nothing wrong on being a true fan or idolizing them. And there is the freedom of expression, but why are people (especially in the net) laughed at them (I’m also guilty of ROFL)? Cosplay is a hobby for them and there should be nothing wrong with that. There are those people who think that cosplaying should only be for those “blessed ones”. Who are we to judge them? Here are some of photos I have gathered in the internet to reflect on your bad behaviors (LMAO).

CTRacer: Whats new in their Update?

Hello!

This game has its shares of ups and downs either with the company side or the players. But even then CTRacer Global (Gamenetworks) is still pushing their ideals to deliver the best gaming experience to their loyal users. I have been monitoring closely to their forums and seeing so much interaction between the players and the GNW staffs (GMs and Admins) regarding their huge update. What is the fuss about? I will tell it in a short while. The old client has some major issues that Effects greatly the integrity of the game itself, with the help of its loyal players. This update has been push through and will be coming this August 17, 2010.

Now let’s talk about some of the new features that will be included in CTR Global V2 Update. As I have posted previously in my blogs, the game had made some MAJOR changes compared to their old client. With this new patch, some of the issues that have been a great concern to the players will be solved.

Here are some before and after pictures of CTRacer…

Before                                    After

Besides these renovations, I have been lurking around their website to see some of minor details that they added to the game as well.

Changes = Effect/s

Car garage = Added 3 more car slots
Ware house = Storage system
Changeable = RPM GaugeUser interface gauge
Car Insurance = Fuel Discounts on Stations
Improve Car Painting = Improved graphics for adding paint to your cars
1000 Max TP Limit = from 600 to 1000 TP limit
1 New Downhill = Added Nam Han San Downhill Course

That is only the tip of the iceberg, they are yet to release an official list of changes. Now here is a video of one of the GMs of CTRacer testing the new Drift Mode feature. This is the only video I can find in their official website, we are still waiting for the official teaser video of it.

GM Maelstrom testing the drift mode

The video is quite short but you pretty much get the idea out of it, there is a specific area in the track where you can begin to start and end a drift.

Other features that have been added are License Quest, Advance and Beginner’s Quest, and Ghost Mode. Ghost Mode is a feature that lets your race with a mirror of yourself, you can do this by saving previous runs that is incorporated into the game.

There are still other features that are hidden in the game for now, we can expect more out of it when the CTR Global V2 Update will be available for the users this coming August 17, 2010.

You will be expecting me to roam around some more when it has been released to the public. I'm planning on making a review out of it.

CTRacer: Arcade Style MMO review

Hello There!
Hello There!

The Racing Game Genre haven't been a focused of attention from players around the world. The ever popular mmorpg genre is still and i think forever will be on top of every players list. However racing games offers its own thrill and excitement instead of tanking you are drifting with your own tricked out car. I'm a bit of a old school kind of guy and I miss playing arcade racing games in malls (Have work also), one racing that caught my attention is CTRacer. I haven't gotten deeper around to test the game further but here are some initial feedbacks from me.

Every game has its beginnings and you will start out with only a few CTs (In game currency) 10,000 to be exact limiting your purchasing powers. There are some cars that you can't purchase because you still have to unlock it, stepping on the Main Field (Free Roam Mode), i was surprise of the friendliness of the players and guess what... GMs are playing with them. This is the first time that I have met a GM in a game, CTR GMs are really friendly and you can ask them about everything related to the game. Moving on, main thing to do in Free Roam Mode is too farm performance parts and CTs by doing quest (Simple logic, faster car more quests finished). This might be quite a drag but its worth it because the level system of the game doesn't matter in racing and what matters is your driving skills. Simple quest from point A to B, or from point A, B, C, D, to E.

There are other game modes besides the free roam area like Downhill Racing and Championship where street racing is turned into professional. Downhill Mode what caught my attention in the first place because it reminds me of "Initial D" (Popular Anime), huge fan of the series BTW LOL!

I was able to purchase some other cheap cars to test the game further and each of them offers different driving experience. That is a big plus for me since I'm really into cars performance and enhancing them so that my noobish skills will not be noticed (ROFL)! There are four categories C, B, A, and S class Cars, where C is the lowest category and S is the highest. While exploring the game you will notice which cars are suited for you and each track so keeping lots of cars will be your edge in winning races and their events.

The game has been around quite some time (It was develop around 2002) so the graphics is old compared to the other games. But from what i have said earlier graphics is only 25% in my perception and the rest is for the game experience. I may announce that they will be having a huge update on August 17, 2010 much like "WOW:Cataclysm" where they renovated everything in the game this will be much the same with CTRacer.
