What attracts me to Second Life is the fact that users can create their own content. In two years, I've learned how to create or build my own things but, unfortunately, there are those who, instead of learning how to build and create, spend their time stealing other users creations.

They are able to do this by using a program called a CopyBot but recently more skillful coders were able to release alternative Second Life viewers that are able to do what CopyBot can do but in a much more easier manner. An example of such a viewer is CryoLife. This viewer has features that made copying or stealing other people's work much, much easier.

Fortunately, ways to detect CryoLife users were released to the community but it can only detect this particular viewer. What about the others?

With the way things are going, this is truly a losing battle for content creators in Second Life. A creator can only hope that his items don't become a target.
