Being that I have at one point played just about every online game the world has to offer ( Aside from a few Korean grinders and useless pieces of garbage such as Dark Age of Camelot ), I have come across at least once, just about every social stigma this piece of culture has to offer.  One of the more annoying, as well as utterly pathetic is the in-game relationships, but furthermore, the in-game marriages.   [ Full Article Here ]

    • Wow! another "people don't think / play the same way I do so therefore they are all losers" blog.

Judging by your attitude I would sterotype you as....

      1. homophobic

      2. thinks role play has something to do with dice.

      3. 30 years old & lives with mom still.

      4. possibly drives a jeep painted up to resemble the General Lee.

      5. talks alot of trash on the interwebs cause he knows nobody will come to his mom's house & punch him.

      6. thinks its ok to play a female toon cause they have better looking asses to stare at all day.

      7. understands only his own sarcasm & will no doubt flame me for not having perfect grammer & spelling.

      8. Fails to understand that bragging about playing every game ever made does not mean you are more manly.

anyway, lighten up DUDE. people will do what they are going to do, just cause you dont like it, doesnt make it wrong. Of course I'm all for freedom of speech & I would say that you let this issue anger you perhaps a little to much. Perhaps you need to go outside as well.

    • Wow, that's two displays of ignorance in rather short order, first from the original poster then from the user who commented.

I have no doubt that some few people do the things the poster is suggesting, but his generalization is far to broad. Yep, I have no doubt there are pedophiles and perverts looking for victims in these games in order to get their desires met. They ought to be locked away. That being said there are plenty of people who play an opposing gender character  or roleplay relationships without doing so for perverted reasons.

Ferndip you basically accuse the original poster of bigotry then answer him with bigotry of your own, do you really think you're so much better?

    • LOL, what  a  moron. He must be new to the internet if this bothers him  so much. Most people like us who have been playing games online for years have moved past being offended by what others do with their time in them. I've seen it all TBH and nothing really surprises me anymore. The OP needs to grow up and move out of his moms house.

    • It's not offensive, it's sad and retarded.

    • Says those who play online games as fictional characters in fictional universes for fictional and untangible gain.

I've met tons of cool people online, had relationships beyond friendship with some. Also, a relationship is anything dealing with social interaction between two people. A friendship is still a relationship. Aquantances are still relationships.

      Get over yourself.
