My hunter is now about level 25.
The explorer profession keeps me filled with ore and wood. I'm starting to notice that the auction house is also, usually filled with ore and wood. It' s not worth it (currently) to sell the raw materials on the ah.
So the best use of the materials is to mail 'em to the few crafting alts that I have, and get some good cheap skill gains.
