Being an avid gamer I have played numerous MMOGs mostly MMORPGs and from my experience the market has been mostly dominated by games from the USA, Korea and, even China I have been looking for MMORPGs exclusively from Japan and found one 2years ago. Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine online and ever since the open beta I have been playing this game and enjoying it more than the other games released by other foreign developers. But I believe there are still even better games out there from the land of the rising sun so I am going to do updates on this blog daily look for the MMORPGs from Japan that I think should be released on international servers  and will also be posting details on games soon to arrive on the international market

My First entry will be the upcoming game “Uncharted Waters Online” or known to Japan as “Great Voyage Online”. Developed by KOEI Interactive the game will be available on the P.C and PS3 platforms. The servers in Japan and Korea have been up since 2005 in Taiwan 2006 and China 2007. But looking at the screen shots the game those not look at all outdated.

The game looks to be set in the age of exploration and may be compared to “Florensia Online” there is also a similarity in game play but Uncharted Waters Seemes to be in the sense that both games have land based areas and sea based areas and from what I seen players are not restricted to specific jobs leveling up skills from other jobs are possible it is said that players can change their job classes, occupation, even nationality since players will be choosing a nation who were major powers during the age of exploration like Spain, Portugal, Dutch Republic, France and many more.

Each nation will have different storylines adding a single player element to the game each nation's storyline revolves around a protagonist and their journey

I am really looking forward to this game and regarding the terms of payment I hope it starts as a free to play MMORPG see you there. (as of now sadly  there is no official release date)

Additional Information: The Uncharted waters series is base on a long running series of games One of them made it to the USA for the SNES. Uncharted Waters: New Horizons also made by KOEI but previous versions never made it to US shores and was exclusive to JAPAN

                                                                                                                                                          “Aki” :D
