Lately my thoughts have been leaning towards the next SOE Fan Faire.  Because I work at a fansite, we have some inside info of where this year's Faire will most likely be, letting me able to price things out and make plans before any official announcement.

This will be my first Fan Faire and I am freakin' excited! For me, is it definatly a vacation.  I don't live in the US, but I love visiting whenever I can.  This will be no exception.  A group of four of us are planning to go and be the biggest geeks we can be.

I mean, come on, how can one not go to a Fan Faire or Blizzcon and NOT let your geeky side reign free.  I want to meet other players and guildmates.  Be able to talk to anyone about these games and not be looked at like I'm crazy.

*dances with excitement*

What about you? Do you go to the conference for your game?

Never Cross This Line

Please, I beg of you....

There are many instances where your fantasy, gaming life should never cross into your real life.  Never.

I am speaking of children.  No, no, not children playing the games. Not limiting them and all that crap that everyone likes to argue about.

That joy has come for you. You find out that you (or your wife) is pregnant! Yay?  Things go well and the two of you start deciding what to name it....

You see where I am going with this?

Please do not name your child after your avatar!!!!!! Unless it is a normal name, please don't do this!

I have a friend...male...that always plays female characters in game.  And he uses a very strange name, some one for every game.  Him and his girlfriend agreed...AGREED no less...that if it was a girl they would name it this name.

I don't want to say this name because the power of Google will find this post if he searches it.

But trust me, it is wrong.  Thankfully, her last doctor visit determined that it was a boy.  Their boy choice is better.. and not going to match daddy's female dwarf in EQ2!

Remember that these children have to go to school and take the teasing for even normal names.  Name responsibly!

So here it is...my gaming blog.  Very seperate from my every day blog.

As you guessed, I'm a girl.  That's right. Pure girl and pure gamer.

Time after time I get strange expressions when I tell people what I am into.  The response is usually the same.."I never would have thought".  I am shocked that some people still have a very stereotypical view on what a gamer should look and sound like.

And I personally don't get it.  I feel like a geek...act like one...talk like one....*looks down*..maybe not dress like one though.  No pocket protecters in sight!

Anyway, back to the introduction.

My forte is MMORPGs.  Love them.  Played many of them, but my addition lies in EQ2 at the moment.  Sorry, but Blizzard just couldn't keep my interest.  I grew out of WoW after about a year.  Of course, I play other things too.  PC mostly, but I love my PS2  and DS just as much as anything else.

This blog will be my views on gaming topics and news.  Instead of just discussing it with my friends, I can discuss it with you.
