Special Mount Armor: Jade Hare
Dating back to ancient China, there were lots and lots of fairy tales, just like in the West. Most of them are passed along over generations, and in modern times, they still continue to delight old and young alike. The “Jade Hare on the Moon” is one of the most famous fairy tales in Chinese history, as almost everyone knows about it from a very young age.
The reason we brought this avatar to the game, is to embroider the storyline of the game, also it’s mainly because this is a nice story, and the Hare in the tale is adorable, cute and benevolent.
The ancient story goes like this: Once upon a time, Chang’e, the goddess of the Moon, flew to the Moon and stayed there alone. One day, 3 gods descended to the secular world from above, and happened to run across 3 animals, a Fox, Monkey and Hare. Two of them offered them food, because they had disguised themselves as poor beggars. The Hare thought for a while, and then said to the 3 gods, “I don’t have anything to offer. The only thing I can offer is myself, so you can eat me.” He then turned around and jumped to the fire. The gods were so moved by his act that they sent the Hare to the Moon to accompany Chang’e, hence the name “Jade Hare”. The Jade Hare’s responsible for making elixirs on the Moon.
Someone might poke questions about the lantern, as it’s quite noticeable. Let me elaborate on it.
After the Hare was sent to the Moon to accompany Chang’e, he found that around him there’s no light, so he requested a lantern from the Jade Emperor, to lighten the Moon. The character “?” on the lantern means Hare, or rabbit, and it’s a symbol of the legend of the Jade Hare.
As always, feel free to ask questions in the comments, we will try our best to answer them all!
