There’s great news for all the Mac users who eagerly want to experience and play Conquer Online on their Macintosh! We’ve decided to arrange a Closed Beta for the Mac users who wish to give us a hand making sure things are running smoothly! The schedule hasn’t been determined yet, but as soon as it’s decided we will announce the news on our official site. By then, you all will be able to download the Conquer client for Mac from our official download center.
It’s been quite a busy few weeks for the programmers, with the testing of the Mac client and all the changes made. But with all that work, the improved beta client has finally come into being! Let’s take a sneak peek at what’s new!
After the first experience on a Macintosh, the compatibility of Conquer Online on the new Snow Leopard OS has made a big leap, and it’s working much better than before. We hope to provide the best possible playing environment for our Mac users, and programmers are working at full bore to test the client as much as possible.
1. A right mouse click could be activated, if you’d like to use Snow Leopard just like a Windows OS. Open “Preference”and “Mouse”, make left-click secondary instead of primary, and you’ll be able to use the Skills to attack opponents in game just like you do on Windows. If you would like to go with Leopard, there’s nothing to change.
2. The files were finally made available to the staff here, and we could install the game with ease. Just double click the pkg file, and the installation process will commence. Within minutes, the installation will be complete.
3. The F1 –F10 Keys are no longer functional. No Function Keys? No problem! F1 –F10 have been replaced with the number keys 1 –10. With respect to the change of this function, we’ve considered many different aspects, and thought this may be the best solution to the missing keys.
4. The Options panel works fine this time, without any disruption while applying changes to the game. You could hide your name as you like, as well as turn down the volume.
It still needs improvement in some areas, like the size of the installation file is at around 600 –700 MB, which is much larger than the one for Windows.
Don’t forget to join us on the Closed Beta for Mac version of Conquer Online
