Have you been waiting long to see how an oriental assassin actually fights? Trying to figure out what strategy you should use when fighting with an Oriental Assassin by your side? Or how to fight against them when they are coming for your head? Just check out these new combat videos and find out!

Oriental Assassin In PvE and Group Combat
You can watch how the assassins' AoE skills work in PvE and in group combat, such as Guild War.

Oriental Assassin vs Other Classes
The assassin's "Spirit Focus + Mortal Wound" skill combo is a very powerful attack combination which can help an assassin kill an enemy, even if they are much stronger than you. The downside is you have to stand still for 5 seconds while it charges, so this skill combo has its best effect with a sneak attack.

The Oriental Assassin: Unique Skills

Unlike western assassins, who have to come close to their target to finish their target, the eastern assassin from Conquer Online is very unique in their ability to kill at a distance. They attack by throwing deadly daggers from afar, killing their enemies before they know what happened. The Oriental Assassins are the empire’s best kept secret, and have been disguising themselves as simple archers among the common folk for years, hunting down the empire’s rebellions like Ninjas, Monks, Trojans....

The Oriental Assassin is specially designed addition for gamers who have a special love for the long-range classes. They are excellent at assassinating a single target, but also have several powerful AoE skills. The Oriental Assassin also carries on CO’s “easy-to-learn” design concept. Even players who are new to the Conquer world can learn how to kill quickly. However, the Oriental Assassin has 6 brand new skills that will require gamers to put some thought into their PvP strategies.

Let’s find out what ancient skills an excellent Oriental Assassin has at their command!

Path of Shadow (Transformation Skill)

With CO’s alternate equipment feature, an Archer can equip two sets of weapons (bow and throwing knife) at the same time. When switching to the throwing knife, an Archer can transform into the deadly Oriental Assassin, gaining new skills and becoming much stronger in PvP battles.

Blade Flurry (XP Skill)

The most attractive skill that boosts an assassin’s speed, and gives them the ability to throw spinning daggers in all directions, causing damage to all targets around them.

Spirit Focus & Mortal Wound

Spirit Focus:

After channeling their energy for 5 seconds, an Oriental Assassin’s Attack Power will be enhanced, allowing attacks to threaten the strongest enemies! If you see a seemingly sleeping assassin in CO, don’t chuckle to yourself! You might just be the next victim!

Mortal Wound:

With their speed and agility, the assassin quickly throws several knives at the vital areas of a target, inflicting serious damage. Following Spirit Focus, this skill can help you kill an enemy in a flash, making the Oriental Assassin a terrifying foe.

Kinetic Spark

This skill can help an Assassin attack groups of multiple enemies that try to surround them. Using their inner power to charge their knives, the thrown blades have a chance to shatter when hitting an enemy, causing damage to those foolish enough to stand around it.

Blistering Wave

The major AoE skill of the assassin, and a very useful skill for frontal assaults, magically heated knives are thrown in an arc, scorching all targets standing in their path.

Dagger Storm

The Oriental Assassin’s other powerful AoE skill, the assassin brings down a rain of daggers and inflict continuous damage to anyone within range. It is especially useful in group combat and guild wars.

The combat videos of the Oriental Assassin will be released soon, so be sure to stay tuned for the latest information!

After several months of development and consideration for Conquer Online's upside, we, as the CO team, are determined and  ready to unveil a new eastern legend – the Oriental Assassin. Said to once be a part of the empire’s secret guards, the best assassins are sent out to hunt down the empire’s most-wanted and most feared. Unlike all the other assassins you find in other MMOs, the Oriental Assassin is very unique as a long-range class, attacking their enemies from a distance with stealth and their deadly throwing knives.

The Oriental Assassin: How many secrets the veil holds?

Different from the current 7 classes (Warrior, Ninja, Trojan, Archer, Monk, Taoist and Pirate) in CO, Assassins have a unique combat style and transformation ability. When throwing knives are equipped, Archers will become the prolific Assassins and then they can launch a fast and deadly attack on a target from a distance, killing them before they even know what happened.

Throwing Knives: An Assassin’s Deadly Companion

We have announced that the Oriental Assassin will be joining the battle in January, yet some information about their skills has already been put to public. The new addition will bring four brand new skills, as well as a special XP skill, which will maximize the advantage of the Assassin’s long-range attack, making them a powerful force, especially in PvP battles. Stay tuned to the detailed information and trailers on this new class, sure you will find them on the official CO Homepage, soon!

As always, feel free to comment with your questions, I'll try my best to answer them all.

Conquer Online 3 is going to be a fresh take on the oriental style of free-to-play online games, while holding true to Conquer Online's successful elements, including simple gameplay, multiple classes, Chinese Kungfu, intensive PvP, as well as the special Rebirth system. In Conquer Online 3, there will be 7 unique classes to choose from, with each class having its own specialties in magic and skills. Players can guide their characters to challenge the fiercest monsters and bosses, collecting formidable gear, fighting side by side with their comrades and be the Conqueror!
Compared to what the current iteration presents, the Conquer Online 3 game experience aims to make subtle changes to pacing, allowing both fierce actions and more relaxing enjoyments to harmoniously coexist. In the meantime, the balance for classes will be reshaped. The controversial Battle Power feature will be removed, and the economy system will be improved upon.
What's more, forging and improvement of gear and characters will be more interesting, as well as the social interactions available to the community will be more convenient and useful. Last, but not least, the graphics will see a major improvement over the current look. While in the process of developing Conquer Online 3, NetDragon Websoft focuses on the main concept of "We Listen, We Care", with the hopes of creating a free-to-play game that is really "for the players".
Meanwhile, the wheel of Conquer Online 2.0 never stops turning, and the team has prepared a great deal of events in the second half of 2012! As expected, there’ll be more challenges waiting for you to take, including Faction War, Cross-server Team PK and Skill Team PK Tournament and of course, the Return of the Archer! More info will come at a later time, stay tuned guys!

The TQ team is proud to announce that a brand new land has been discovered and is waiting to be explored! This is sure to be an unprecedented and incredible chance for brave adventurers to make their mark!
As more and more secret rumors begin to spread around Twin City, a vicious underworld has surfaced, bringing with it the presence of the Giant Octopi, evil messengers from the Proud Sea. Nefarious ghosts were long trapped there, feeding on their hatred of the living. To seek vengeance upon those that still breathe, they try to lure the innocent into their dark nest and turn them into evil sprits. Warnings have been given, yet who can resist the temptation of treasure and great power?
The devil has an invitation for you! Are you ready to take on a bloody treasure hunt?
But what possible treasures are waiting to be found? Ancient Coins lie scattered in the deepest seas, bringing a great fortune to those who can return them to the world above. Some say they are guarded by fiendish monsters, while others say that they remain in the same boxes they were kept in before they tumbled to the ocean floor.
A treasure hunt is always full of risks, and in this lawless hell, all the rules will be as distant as light in the depths of the abyss! You will have the green light to unleash your cruel inner beast and take down as many other players as you like! No one will gain any PK points for kills, nor lose any experience if they die! New lands are all about loot and slaughter, and this is no exception! But, you should be aware that your belongings are just as at risk as your opponent’s. What would you do if keeping your hard-won equipment depended all on your own skill? To see all eyes leering at your fine items and silver in your bag! Just like gambling, one good hit might cause you to lose everything you have, or gain you the world, no matter if you are strong or not! Blades should be sharpened and guns need to be loaded at all times, lest you be caught unaware in the many intense battles.
The gate to the hell is wide open. Dare you step inside?
There will be more about the tempting prizes coming up soon! Stay tuned!

New Weapon Soon Out, Ninjas Back Again!

There comes great news for all the Ninja lovers, another new weapon will be added to the Ninja’s arsenal in the world of Conquer!

Many gamers have complained about the lack of diversity of the weaponry for the Ninjas, which can only carry two katana at a time, and now the good news travels around and the ninja lovers will be quite excited about the new stuff!

The name for the weapon isn’t official yet, we call it Kusarigama, originated from Japanese, for now because it looks exactly the same as that in the history.

The chain and sickle (kusarigama) was also used by the ninja. This weapon consisted of a weight on one end of a chain, and a sickle (kama) on the other. The weight was swung to injure or disable an opponent, and the sickle used to kill at close range. Simple gardening tools such as kunai and sickles were used as weaponry so that, if discovered, a ninja could claim they are his tools and not weapons, despite their ability to be used in battle.

And let’s take a sneak peek at the original imaging of the new weapon for the Ninjas!

Not just the look like this, it varies a lot from the preliminary stage to the highest, and higher the level gets more gorgeous! Along with the release of the new weapon, sure there will be another skill/magic intended for the Ninjas coming out, and yet it will remain to be a secret for a little while.

Will the Ninjas rise up again with the power this new weapon bestowed upon them? Or the existing classes can withstand the intrusion from the Ninjas again? Let’s wait and see how Ninjas will perform! Stay tuned for more updates here!

Several Things About Server Transfer

Howdy every CO lover out there on!
Yesterday there came a piece of great news for the CO community, with the news feed about the Server Transfer posted on the official website, many players would be thrilled about its brief introduction.
Immersed in the exhilaration, many players started to ask questions about the rules, which aren’t that clear about something they wanna know. Then here comes the breakdown.
1.       Servers which have only been open for less than a year will be unavailable to transfer IN, however characters may be transferred from.
Only four servers have been open for less than a year, and they are GardenofEden, Evolution, JollyRoger, and Tortuga_EU.
2.       After the transfer is complete, your character’s sub-class, items, skills, weapon proficiency, and quest data will be transferred to the server you wish to move to. Your character’s Enemy list, Flower Ranking, Nobility Rank, and Arena Honor Ranking will be reset.
Okay, the misunderstanding comes from the very last word in “reset”, and of course the players are worrying much more about their nobility rank along with the others. And here’s the deal, the resetting doesn’t mean all the data will be wiped out, it just requires you to pay 3,000,000, aka 3kk, to have it reset to the previous status again on the server you transferred to.
And that’s the most asked questions and we hope this breakdown can help unknot the puzzles.

With the shaking up of the schedule for all the tournaments approaching, many Conquerors might start wondering what will be next for community. Well, here’s the answer! It’s a brand-new Faction Contest!

Here’s a brief explanation to the Faction Contest:
Two factions, "A" and "B", will compete. Unlike previous fights to gain possession of the pole in Guild War, the Faction Contest is a bit different.
1.         All the maps will become event maps for this contest, after the Faction Contest begins.
2.         Different from the PK-oriented tournaments, the players can have fun with the competitors and fight for the faction you joined at the beginning of the contest.
3.         All players who meet the minimum requirements for the contest can choose to join the faction they want.
4.         Each player will have one or several "Symbols" on his character. Once killed, the "Symbol" will be given to the player who killed you.
5.         By the end of the contest, the Faction with the most Symbols in total, wins!
6.         By the end of the contest, the individual players with the most total number of Symbols from both factions will win special rewards.
NOTE: All maps are open for PKing during the contest, and no items will drop when killed.

Are you thrilled about the new contest? Of course you are! There will be more details to come in the coming days.
