Hey, Pepsi here with a big bad question that is bugging not only me - but probably every other person that trolls this forum, and here it goes.

Almost all of you have been gaming for years, exploring caves or hiding behind a pole in the middle of a field waiting to snipe someone youll never meet, partied with orcs, or walked around as a cat and played with daggers, but what is the greatest thing about gaming?

Is it interacting with other characters? Or killing the players that make you mad? Selling things to people that will eventually break them trying to enchant them? or even something as silly as hopping off the world and hoping that none of your equips break?

Do any of you know? Of course you do! you all have an opinion if im correct, and im sure you all feel as if you can share it, otherwise you probably wouldnt be coming and going through this forum, so tell me.

What makes a game perfect? What draws you in on weekends, or gives you something to think about during class or even while working? If you have found this, tell me ~ tell us!

What is your favorite game and why? (dont forget the why, dont just say LoTro, so LoTro: Because i like being a dwarf and the classes are differeant) - so get at it, please and thank you :D

I like MMOs for what they were made for to be honest: Interaction with thousands of players from around the world. Regular RPGs are sort of boring to me. I prefer to team with real people rather than an NPC that repeats the same dialog over and over again.

Favorite Game at the Moment: City of Heroes
(CoV is in close second)

The main reason I think is, the extrmemely robust character creation along with a wide variety of powers to choose from. The game also lets you feel powerful from very early on, but I also happen to be a fan of starting out in rags poking rats with a stick (then growing into a powerful warrior, ect.). The community is friendly and it is generally a nice game to play. I have yet to meet a rude and disruptful player on CoH/V.

Also, the reason that CoV comes in 'close second' is because its not as social as CoH. Though hanging out isn't my favorite thing to do, its fun every once and a while.

Both games have their flaws but overall I enjoy playing them.

What makes a game great isn't any individual part. It's how all those parts work together. If you throw full pvp loot into a game, it doesn't make it more intense per say. It's all about balancing all of the aspects to get the best results. A good game is like a good steak, it's not just the meat that makes it good, it's your choice of cut, the spices, the side, how it was cooked, and above all, how all of it works together. Sorry if that got anyone hungry, by the way.

If you have a game with great PvP system, but has a loot system that doesn't go with it, that could ruin the game. Just like that, if you have a great amount of character customization, great combat, and a great loot system, it doesn't help if all there is to do is grind experience, because the quests are too difficult/easy, and there is not additional social features (eg guilds).

That's one of the reasons I don't like WoW. It's basically a Fankenstien of parts that worked well in their original game, but were just pasted into WoW. Don't get me wrong, WoW did it very well, and if I were a more casual player I might like it, but PvP and Loot systems rub shoulders, Auction houses seem very last minute, very little character customization (Fine in some cases, but could have been done better in WoW).

Well said. I thought he was asking what was your favorite part of MMOs, but your most certainly right. A balanced game is a good game.

I have no favorite game at the moment, as I am still looking for a game (MMO) that appeals to me.  My favorite of the past was Star Wars Galaxies because 1) I could do whatever I wished  2) Combat was not mandatory to advance  3) Unique crafting system  4) Own and decorate my own house

The reason is that eventually the players are the ones who know all the flaws, and they are the one who can think of a better way. Take for example the project "Top Secret" by David Perry, he decided to make a game, racing game, where the players are the ones who give the ideas and make the decisions, this is one of the ways to make a perfect game, in my opinion of course... The real question was at the bottom,

What is your favorite game and why?

Qsilver writes: Well, my point was that I'm still waiting for the perfect game, but i could say some words about games i played... WoW: It's kinda boring to play alone(now in official), and i dont get the excitement from playing it. At higher level it's OK but then you're tired of running 15 minuts and collecting annoying stuff for 1 quest that gives only 10% of the total XP for that level. COH: Wish it was free, played it on free activations like new year's, and holidays. debt really sucks for noobs, for example: they go to a new map to explore and see this giant... Now the basic human instinct is to attack it even if you don't have the slightest chance to defeat it, then you die and get debt as th XP for killing it... COV: Didn't get so exited about this game, all I saw was a copy of COH for the Villains. They didn't even make new powers for Villains. =\ Lineage2: No expert at this game but except the amazing graphics I didn't see nothing in this game. Maybe after grinding a bit it turn to be fun... MU Online: Old game, easy to play, mainly to kill time with a little purpose. Fury: Very nice game for all the action lovers. Great graphics, great gameplay. But i have to say that my favorite game is: Cabal Online. Great graphics, Amazing gameplay, easy quest system, don't have to run for hours looking for stuff, immediate action all the time, Great skill system, Great Armor and Weapons design! Not boring! So what do you say? Sun Nov 25 2007 4:05PM

Being a game for years and years begins to take a toll on the way you game. Now, I only play games that sound different than any other game I have ever played my entire life. Or a game that has an engaging storyline that almost feels as if you're watching a movie as you play it. When I first got into MMORPG's, I felt I could do anything I wanted. I found where the limit was quickly however, but lusted for more freedom, more options. That is why I play the games I play, because its fun doing things you wouldn't normally do, (or can't do), in real life. There are other, minor reasons, (like fun), that I play games, but this is the main reason

Favorite Game: Super Mario World

Why?: Everytime I play it, its different, and it's fun. I would say that this game definitely dwarfs a lot of 3D games as far as gameplay and replayability goes.
