sup all... I was messing around the net looking for some info about that world.com against ncsoft, and believe me that world.com is so going to hell, why? check this out... In US the patent laws are diferent instead of be First to File patent basis, is more like First to Invent, u can hold the ownership by two ways, fill up the documents for patent or go ahead with the practice of creating your invention and appliying it...
of course you cant patent anything at all, there is some rules for patenting, like innovation and such, and u have to keep developing your crap if u want to keep the patent lol... otherwise revoke...
I am not sure of all of this... but here is some links about patent laws in US.... remember that all thsi crap of the lawsuit is in us.. so only us laws and so on matters....
some links to those laws
www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode35/usc_sup_01_35.html
en.wikisource.org/wiki/United_States_Code/Title_35
if what i read here is right... i think world.com is worth nothing... based on the title 35, part 2, chapter 10, 102, C entry... abandoned the invention....
world.com claims patenting of this crap of virtual communication of whatever teh name is... but wheres is the contribution of that invcention at all?????

I like that picture of the cat...
I am too lazy to read up on this lawsuit though, my apologies...
