Google Chrome – Choice Browser of Gamers?

After numerous failures and freezes with my favorite browser Firefox, I decided to give Google’s browser a shot. The only trouble with Firefox is bulky, graphical sites such as this one at I couldn’t even pull up the game list without a 5 minute freeze.

I’ve only had it an hour now but so far no problems with, everything loads just fine. This pleases me but some features of Firefox were still better. Please ask me if I close the whole browser when it has multiple tabs open if I want to close all the tabs. I already closed websites I didn’t mean to close. At least give the option to ask me every time.

I also need to get Roboform working. For those of you who don’t know about Roboform, it’s the most useful and time saving tool I have seen for internet users. Keeps passwords, personal data, fills forms automatically, and is totally customizable. We’ll see if I find enough pros than cons in Google Chrome to make it my default browser or if it’s just going to be used with sites Firefox has trouble with.

If you are having those issues, then it is not the browser, it is your inability to use the browser to its fullest. Either that or your computer sucks.

I have had my trouble with Firefox, but overall, I have had a good experience with Firefox. Unless you are really big into flashy sites or even flashy web games. This site loads perfectly fine for me, no probs, no freezing, nothing. And I have many different extensions. (Not MANY MANY around 10 I think)

I tried Chrome also, and I was VERY impressed, and it is getting better everyday. However I was not happy with the fact that each extension used a different process that used between 10k and 25k memory. There were things I didn't like and I finally changed back to firefox. I actually blogged about it here

I think you would really like firefox if you had someone to show you how to set it up properly. Unless it is an issue of a slow computer, if that is the case, yours must be pretty bad. Mine is 6 years old and runs Firefox just fine.

I use Firefox as my main browser still. It is only 1 site I have a problem with and Chrome seems to do fine with it. I didn't know about the different processes for each extension, that is a little bit of a bummer. I need all the performance I can get as a gamer.

It is not a computer issue or a lack of decent specs. I keep my stuff updated too, I don't know what it could be that causes the browser to hang on this site.

I own a Browser Based MMORPG and let me tell you. Firefox 3.5+ is total crap. Google Chrome and get this..Internet Explorer runs circles around it. FF4 is well ooook, but still slugish. I believe its caused by shotty javascript garbage collection.
