As of late, this new title has caught my eye. It seems to be an other Darkfall type of affair, lots of promises and enticing features for hardcore/PvP orientated gamers, but once you do a little bit of research you can find that the budget for the game is by no means enormous and the development team is quite small. Below is a link to the official FAQ page:

What do you guys think? Could this be a credible heavyweight contender, or is it just an other vaporware title doomed to be entrampled by the big boys? I'm hoping, as always, that Starvault(the developer of the title) can put together a quality game. If everything goes right, the game could be what many of us are looking for, a well seasoned mix of WoW, Guildwars, the Diablo series and SWG. We'll just have wait and see.

Oh, and please do take a look at the teaser, preferrably in HD format. The game will most definitely deliver at least one thing, eye candy.
indeed it is a VERY pretty game however as far as what info there is on this game based on the development team size and budget it could be a minute before we can start to really debate where this game stands. I will be coming back to the topic of this game at a later date for sure.
I too was impressed by the teaster video. And I am intrigued by what I read but it is just ANOTHER fantasy MMORPG. Isn't there enough of those already?
The trailer looked pretty, but trailers tend to do that. The horsy walk was a little weird but aside from that full pvp? hehe, will be interesting to see how many elitist gank squads manage to frustrate people out of that game and how fast the offline pay for power companies manage help them take over the communities. Should be an interesting social experiment if nothing else.
No, there aren't enough Fantasy MMO's, and I'll tell you why.
All current Fantasy MMO's suck, and hopefully Mortal Online can do it right, finally.
Pff.. people are always so quick to fall in the same hype-trap over and over again! "YES ZOMG THIS IS TEH BESTEST GAME EVAR!!"
Another mmo? Eh, why not.
A beautiful orchestrated movie trailer tells me that there is some dough behind the project. Let's hope they don't squander their resources. Ignore the 2009 release. I cannot imagine with a website that has only a nice movie be ready for release by next summer.
Pre-rendered videos tell you nothing about the game - anybody with time can do it - and the game's been in development since 2003.
I only evaluate MMOGs after 6 months of their release - any test-drive before that is a waste of time. So, I'll wait and see. Sandbox and skill-based? Seems interesting, though.
