Generally when you role-play you think of table top games or like that thing that a counselor would have you do to help study your views on another. But Role-play is defined by Dictionary.com as:
1. to assume the attitudes, actions, and discourse of (another), esp. in a make-believe situation in an effort to understand a differing point of view or social interaction.
After reading this I understand how I the mind set I need to be in when it comes role-playing in games. It’s a bit more then just pretending to be someone else, need to think about the person you want to role-play and ask yourself what would this character do in this situtation, you need to get to know your character like an actually person but you need to know them well like a best friend where you guys can finish each other sentences.
I just think it’s a new way to look into it to help make role-play more effective.
