Well, well well... It's been some time since I posted that rant about SE. I did some game searching, played some consoles, a little of this and that. Alas, I was missing a mmo to play, and since SE bummed me out and everything, I was sort of lost. I thought I could always go back to World of Warcraft, but I would quit in a month or so, there are a ton of F2P games, but I'm really getting sick of the non-sub games. I found SWTOR. I never really followed this game when it was released, or followed the hype train about it, and didn't really think I would ever be interested in it, even though I love Star Wars lore... So, I basically forgot about it entirely. If I don't think something will be good, I usually tend to not think about it, and forget about them over time. So, my buddies were talking about it, and I was like, "Meh, why not, let's check it out". Let's just say I've been playing it non stop, since I pretty much installed it. I have been enjoying this game a lot. I don't know if it's on the level of Final Fantasy ARR, but it's pretty dang close. Something about being a Jedi just gives me the biggest joy. I mean, dual wielding light sabers.. I mean, like... C'mon how epic is that?

The voice acting is really good, I feel like i'm really into the story, and listening to it, and making the choices really puts me in the mind set, and allows me to really develop my character, and allow myself to really grow on my character. Making light, or dark choices, gaining respect from other people, it's really involved, and I really like that. I do want to be involved with the game I am going to spend most of my time with. As well, the game looks amazing, running on the highest settings really makes this game shine.

The game has the SoE tag on it, so it's free to play with somewhat high restrictions, and then preferred, then subbed. I subbed to the game, so I couldn't have to worry about the restrictions, and with subs already getting the expansion, I said why the heck not? I really am glad my friends talked me into it, and I gave it an actual shot. I really enjoy it, and I think I will for a long time. I've met some amazing people, and got into a really great guild with a lot of helpful people. So the community has helped me like the game even more, I can only speak for my server though, not every single one. I learned to really take it easy, and not to be so critical on a game within the first hour, if I am to critical at the start, it won't be fun in the long run, and usually I will give up within that time frame.

With being involved with the game, and the story, and my character, it makes me actually enjoy logging in, and questing, and what not. I'm not saying I like every aspect of the game, I have my dislikes, but the likes have a way better advantage, that they shine over the dislikes. I don't think the game is the perfect MMO, for me it's really close, and that's why I am sticking to it. It's really fun, I didn't think it would be, since it had it's SOE tag on it, but SWTOR, defiantly proved me wrong here. After what happened with SE, Faith has been restored in the MMO world for me. At least for now. I was planning on doing a play through of FFXIV, but we all know how that went, so I will do, a hopefully daily blog on what I am doing, if it's not daily, it will probably be once or twice a week. I'm not sure how I will handle it. I will defiantly be speaking about SWTOR in my future blogs.

I hope you all stick around for the blog series of SWTOR, The force be with us. I think it'll be really fun playing, and telling you all about it. Cheers!
