The adventure continues! Still on the planet Alderaan, taking my sweet time to enjoy this planet the movies didn't really get to show. I've read a ton of books, describing what the planet would look like, but I like how they did it, it's really beautiful, and detailed. I completely re-did my character's skill tree. Instead of it being everywhere, I put it mainly into one tree, and it seems like my damage has skyrocketed. I've been using the GTN more and more, to really make my character stronger. I was weak for the longest time without really knowing it. I got my butt kicked numerous times, and couldn't figure out why. Now, I crush everything in my path, which is always fun. I'm also still going my light side path. I figure I will play Sith later on, but... For now, I like being the pure Jedi that I am making him out to be. Sometimes, through the story I am tempted to choose the dark side, and kill the person, or something to that effect. Alas, I cannot make myself do that, so I chose the light side. I'm just a good soul, I guess. I do plan on playing Sith, and I really want to see how the goes. Interested to see how that story leads, and being a Pure Blood Sith. My character's development has been adventure, a good one at that. I estimate that I will be off the planet by the end of the day.

I've dabbled into more PvP, and flashpoints, and also a little crafting here and there. Enjoying what the whole game has to offer. I'm super excited to see the end-game content beholds. My guild has spoken highly of it, and how fun it is. Until then, a questing we will go. I have been struggling to write content for you all, because of how slowly I am taking the game in a way. Keeping a slow pace and enjoying the scenery. All I can really say is my adventure's so far, and how my character progresses, which is really boring to read. I like to look into the next character I will be playing. I will be playing a Sith, because well... Evil is evil right? I also hope the game follows some of the book's story line. Anakin Solo, Ben Skywalker, etc etc. I would love to see how they would put that together, because when I read the books, my mind went insane with imagination on how the Author's described all of it. I think it would be difficult to put that into this game, because of how detailed it all is. Here is to hoping I guess!

Having a companion along also makes the game interesting. Have some conversations, and how the companions all serve a good purpose, at least that's how I look at it. I've been thinking of making a video series along with the blog. If you could leave your opinion in the comments that would be awesome. I'm also going to livestream the game as well, once I get everything together. It'll be extremely fun. I hope to get it running by the end of the week. I have everything I need, but just haven't set up the software yet. Apparently I can play a game, but can't take a few minutes to configure some settings. How awesome am I? Not. So, if you could leave the opinion you have on the video series on the comment section that would be wonderful. Hopefully in the next post, I will have the livestream ready, and more content to write for you all. Cheers!

“I can use my powers to conjure up your worst nightmares and bring them to life before your eyes. I can drive you mad with fear, shred your sanity, and leave you a raving lunatic for the rest of your life.”?

I'm a huge lore nerd, and I have read a ton, TON of Star Wars books. As I read them, and when they talk about the Sith and the dark side, it always catches my attention. What would it like, to feel only pain, and only want power, and make people suffer? To strike fear into your enemies with just looking at them. It's how you use the force, and what actions you make. Just like in the game. I can do good things, or I can do terrible things. Within Flashpoints, regular quests, and chatting with companions. Choices define my role in the game, and how I will play it out. Do I want my character to be a beacon of light in the dark days, or do I want my character to drive fear and pain into their bodies. Touch choices, tough indeed. I can say I like both aspects of the force, in different ways of course. I think everyone wants to become the best at what they are. Best Jedi Master, best Sith Lord, etc. In a lore perspective that is.

I never really looked into Lore, only two games I have really accepted and delved into the Lore is Lord Of The Rings Online, and Star Wars. Not because I didn't care, it just didn't grab me like those two did. Because it goes so deep, and so well written. If that makes sense at all. Anyways, the lore allows me to get deeper into the game, and that means more fun for me. That is what it's all about right, having fun? Enough about lore, let's get into the actual gameplay.

I've only created one alt so far, and he is on the empire side. Mixing it up a little bit! Sith Sorcerer, and I'm liking it so far, force lighting is bad ass, am I right? The game still is fun to me, has not gotten dull at all. I've dabbed into a little PvP, and I must admit it's really fun. I like it. I only pvp'd in certain games. Guild Wars, World Of Warcraft, etc. I don't think it's the best PvP, but it is defiantly fun. I'm more of a PvE guy, but I like to mix it up a little every now and then. I'm not planning on making to many alts, because then it becomes a stress thing for me, and I get overwhelmed. That usually leads me to quitting the game entirely. Weird eh? It's becoming more apparent to me, that this game is just right for me. Because of the Lore, the game play, everything that I want in a game, is there. The next digital expansion will bring space pvp, and that really excites me, like I said in the previous post. I hope down the line they will add more PvE stuff to the mix.

I have spent more money on this game, along with the sub fee. The cash shop part. My feeling about this, is a little meh. I bought some stuff, some cosmetic stuff. There is gear you can buy, which... I don't think to badly about, I'll never buy straight up gear off a cash shop, not in any game. I don't think that allows a player to have an advantage over another. I don't think it's that big of a thing. I haven't spent a lot of money, but I like cosmetics. Pets, cool mounts, etc. There are experience boosters, and etc you can buy. Like I said nothing to game breaking, not in my eyes at least. I'm pretty weary about cash shops in the first place, even more when it's with a sub game. Alas, I don't mind it here, it's not something that will cripple players in the end, nor give an advantage. It's there purely for money, and fancy stuff. They wanna make more money... Right? Anyways, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. I never really went through it when I first started playing. I might buy some more cosmetic stuff in the future, if the release something so badass, that I must have it.

I'm still playing it constantly. I'm actually taking a break just so I can write this. I've been playing pretty much all day. I will playing more, when I'm done eating. Sleep, rinse, repeat. I'm glad I am playing and writing about this game, it gives me a lot of things to write about, and it does not get boring. I think i'll keep the title going for the series. Hoping it will last a lot longer, so I can use more roman numerals. Ha. Anyways, cheers! Till next time!

“This is the way of our Order. An individual may die, but the Sith are eternal.”
-Darth Zannah

I don't play Sith in the game, but I have always loved Sith Quotes. After playing a lot more of TOR, I have enjoyed it more and more. Developing my own character into what I want him to be, allowing this free format, to answer the questions for conversations, and quests. Allowing my character to be Romantic/Casual/Aggressive, etc etc. It's a lot of fun to see companion reactions, and everyone else reaction to what I make my character say. Extremely fun, and deep, and I really enjoy that about TOR, probably the best thing I like about the game. I log unto the game for multiple hours, I pulled a all nighter playing this game, and accomplished a lot, and found myself not getting bored, like I would usually get while playing a MMO. I'm very glad that this hasn't happened to TOR, even after such a marathon I pulled off. Usually, I would be burned out, but I finally stopped playing because I was about to fall asleep on my keyboard. I've done that before, it's very uncomfortable, take my word for it. Space missions which I thought I would not like, are actually really fun. The first time I did a space mission, I failed the first two tries, don't judge me. This makes me very eager for the next digital expansion that adds space PvP. Totally, excited for it.

Usually, I talk about Free to play, and all of that jazz, but I cannot give a strong opinion on the free to play aspect of the game, and the restrictions. I went straight to sub, because of how great of an impression the game put on me. My guild has a small amount of free to play accounts, or preferred status. They say the chart on the game, is kind of misleading, but true at the same time. Some of the limits truly suck, but you can do everything in the game. (Except for the digital expansion). I cannot give a fair opinion on this subject, but a lot of people don't have a lot of issues with it, at least in-game, on paper the restrictions look terrible. I've gotten mixed reactions from in-game, and out of game. I truly think the game is worth the sub, but I am also glad they made this game free to play. My server is very populated, and I have a great guild. Some of which are happy free to players. Once again, I have gotten mixed reactions though.

As far as my actual adventures, I am currently on the planet Alderaan. I can't wait to see how they designed it, because we only got a glimpse of it in Episode 3 of the movies. So I am really excited to play this planet. As I said before, this isn't a perfect game, it has it cons, and a few bugs I dislike, but I am sure they will patch them. Most of the game I am in love with. To be fair with it all, I will talk about what I dislike about the game, to give you all a little more insight.

I wish they would increase the rate of planet commendations that drop, and credit drops. Maybe, because I am still in mid-level planet, I haven't seen the later game drops, and I'm too greedy as well? Probably the biggest issue I have right now, is an extremely annoying bug that is happening to me, and a few other guildies. Proper items will not show up on the GTN (Auction House). I think they are aware of it though, and I hope they will fix it soon. Pretty much that is it for the dislikes (Right now). I will continue to play this game, probably for a long time! Like I said, the pros outweigh the cons by a large amount. I told you all this blog would be almost daily, I intend to try to honor that. I have been really busy lately, because of life situations, and I haven't been able to sit down and start typing without being interrupted and losing my train of thought.

I hope you all have enjoyed the read, and I post more adventures soon, hopefully tomorrow. This game is really great, and I am enjoying the people I am playing with. If you'd like to try out the game, and have some help, please ask me what my server is, and I will help you out as much as I can. I promise I won't bite! Anyways, till next time... May the force be with you... Always. Cheers!

Well, well well... It's been some time since I posted that rant about SE. I did some game searching, played some consoles, a little of this and that. Alas, I was missing a mmo to play, and since SE bummed me out and everything, I was sort of lost. I thought I could always go back to World of Warcraft, but I would quit in a month or so, there are a ton of F2P games, but I'm really getting sick of the non-sub games. I found SWTOR. I never really followed this game when it was released, or followed the hype train about it, and didn't really think I would ever be interested in it, even though I love Star Wars lore... So, I basically forgot about it entirely. If I don't think something will be good, I usually tend to not think about it, and forget about them over time. So, my buddies were talking about it, and I was like, "Meh, why not, let's check it out". Let's just say I've been playing it non stop, since I pretty much installed it. I have been enjoying this game a lot. I don't know if it's on the level of Final Fantasy ARR, but it's pretty dang close. Something about being a Jedi just gives me the biggest joy. I mean, dual wielding light sabers.. I mean, like... C'mon how epic is that?

The voice acting is really good, I feel like i'm really into the story, and listening to it, and making the choices really puts me in the mind set, and allows me to really develop my character, and allow myself to really grow on my character. Making light, or dark choices, gaining respect from other people, it's really involved, and I really like that. I do want to be involved with the game I am going to spend most of my time with. As well, the game looks amazing, running on the highest settings really makes this game shine.

The game has the SoE tag on it, so it's free to play with somewhat high restrictions, and then preferred, then subbed. I subbed to the game, so I couldn't have to worry about the restrictions, and with subs already getting the expansion, I said why the heck not? I really am glad my friends talked me into it, and I gave it an actual shot. I really enjoy it, and I think I will for a long time. I've met some amazing people, and got into a really great guild with a lot of helpful people. So the community has helped me like the game even more, I can only speak for my server though, not every single one. I learned to really take it easy, and not to be so critical on a game within the first hour, if I am to critical at the start, it won't be fun in the long run, and usually I will give up within that time frame.

With being involved with the game, and the story, and my character, it makes me actually enjoy logging in, and questing, and what not. I'm not saying I like every aspect of the game, I have my dislikes, but the likes have a way better advantage, that they shine over the dislikes. I don't think the game is the perfect MMO, for me it's really close, and that's why I am sticking to it. It's really fun, I didn't think it would be, since it had it's SOE tag on it, but SWTOR, defiantly proved me wrong here. After what happened with SE, Faith has been restored in the MMO world for me. At least for now. I was planning on doing a play through of FFXIV, but we all know how that went, so I will do, a hopefully daily blog on what I am doing, if it's not daily, it will probably be once or twice a week. I'm not sure how I will handle it. I will defiantly be speaking about SWTOR in my future blogs.

I hope you all stick around for the blog series of SWTOR, The force be with us. I think it'll be really fun playing, and telling you all about it. Cheers!
