I remember back when Wii was still called "Revolution" that people were desiring any news of a MMO made on Wii. Though the months and years past and no developer seemed to touch what might of been an MMO giant. Sure Wii doesn't compare performance-wise to something like a PS3 or Xbox 360, but who said the problem affecting the MMO genre was graphical power?
What MMOs might need is what Wii CAN EXCEL AT....innovative gameplay mechanics!
Picture a vibrant world where your characters' weapons can come to live with the swinging of a Wii wand. Firing arrows more realistic or accurate using your wii wand and nunchuck like a bow and arrow. Waving the Wii wand to cast spells or charms to heal party members or harm enemies. A dedicated Wii channel that can update you on the latest events and info without checking the official or third-party website(s).
The possibility is there, but the issue is...why hasn't a developer attempted such an inspired project?
That and many other Wii MMO idealists wonder the same thing.

Probably because nintendo doesn't like people interacting with each other in such close personal ways (talking) without exchanging their precious friend codes.
Othewise someone might get... insulted.
