Greetings! As part of ChangYou's Development Team, I'm proud to be the first to welcome you to our blog about Blade Wars. If you played our previous title, Dragon Oath, you will find that Blade Wars has many of the same great features to offer you. In the coming weeks, we'll discuss many of the features of the game, as well as other aspects of the game industry as they relate to us. Background information and world lore about Blade Wars can be found on the ChangYou website.
We've been running around in Blade Wars with a few of our users now for about a week - ever since we released Pre-Closed Beta keys. While it helps to zip about in a game during the testing phase to learn about it, nothing quite tells you what aspects of it are *Fun* (yes with a capital "F") like being in a group with other players. Below, I thought I'd share a few screenshots of our adventures. Enjoy!
We teamed up for our very first event, the Emperor's Tomb. The trick is to *not* let the eggs hatch. While we had a great time running around smashing the eggs for several rounds, we also had time to torture each other with egg puns. It was "eggcellent". Watch out for that last egg however, as the Princess of the Iron Fan is a formidable opponent!
I was super-excited to finally get to team up with someone in Blade Wars for the musical Performance mode, in which all players can perform together as a band. Blade Wars offers a myriad of different songs and instruments for you to master and play with your friends. You can find a great guide to music and performing in Blade Wars by our forum user Enmarakuen here.
Congratulations to the first couple to be married in Blade Wars: Xion and Enma! They graciously invited me to meet them after their ceremony with the Elder Priest in Luo Yang City. I set off some romantic fireworks to commemorate the occasion.
We’re still in Pre-Closed Beta, so there are a few kinks to iron out, but it’s been a great adventure so far; and one I can’t wait to share it with even more of our players.
See you in game!
