Haha! Did you really think my blog is over? I hope not. ;)
I played/tried LOTRO. That was my 3rd try. Man, this game is so instanced and restricted. LOTRO feels pretty much linear. Why is everyone complaining about AoC’s “hidden walls” but LOTRO is the MMO prince? I don’t see a real difference. Why are there so few quests in that game? I expect more from LOTRO since it is called a Role-Playing game. The controlling is average, but the music is disappointing. Seriously, this is “lord of the rings”! I may expect more from a game which is based on an epic franchise. Sound is lousy, too. Only the graphics are satisfying. The community is as ****** as usual there. Even WoW, people are nicer.
Is LOTRO a bad MMO? For WoWers who love the Lord of the rings franchise, it might a good one. For the rest, it is a definite NO.
I tried StarWars: Galaxies. The space part is great. But as soon as you are on a planet, it bgins to feel like a cheap f2p, not only visually. How could this game anyone before “jump to lightspeed”? It is the best part of SWG.
But most of the time, I am playing offline games. I’m looking forward to read the review about Darkfall Online. Additionally, I might buy a MMO which I should have bought instead of having listened to others. More about in 2 or 3 weeks. I have a real life ( I think) waiting for me.
