Warhammer Online Open Beta

Well, I got a news letter in my Inbox, hoping for Open Beta with all my Might, and it seems they are inviting guilds into Warhammer now; Sigh... When will the CE pay off? Hopefully soon, As it's appearing to be Vapor-ware Advertisement at this point. They barely even mentioned that you would get into OPEN beta, many (Most likely) Assuming they would get in before closed ended, so I'm sure that the already long wait is bad enough, but having open Beta one month before it comes out? C'mon guys, it can't be THAT bad for the public eye. Sigh... Well, it did NOT say there would be no opening of Beta, so one can always hope for the case to be that they would take the 'Ahh fine, we'll let you in' route opposed to doom coming about as soon as they open the doors to the game, and the windows to see in.

So, after ordering CE, I do think it will be worth it in the end; it looks like warhammer is coming togeather with many of it's features intended intact. I do believe this game will be the next addiction of many old WoW players, and then an old schoolers zone for just some good old MMO hack'n'slash. I mean, a game based around PvP is a bit more in depth than the likes of Diablo or the Eldar scrolls games (Yes, I count a real time RPG, Three Dimensional or not, a Hack and Slash, for those of you who would disagree), but it's still based on a Real time Combat system that makes it easy and intuitive to control your character.

Well, Other than guilds being Added to Closed Beta (Which I am not in), the White lion class is added as well, with some new Puplic quests and a few new Dungeons and Scenerios (or mabye one, dunno).

Well, thats all the pertinent news I saw... And I am begining to hate this Wait for Open Beta.

Sigh, Bockin.

Perfect World, RF Online Sho Online, And Pirates.... The disney one.

Well, okay so it's a fair question; What DID I expect when I went to Pirates of the Carribean online? And I got a little more, but suprisingly no less than what I thought I would get. It had a combat system that would keep me interested for all of twenty min (About the time that I quit is when It got tiring), and the Character custumization is actually quite good; I enjoyed having a choice between a Sleezy no good Salty Dog and a More dignified man whom would never steal, If he hadn't already been stealing in the first place. I pulled a nice center and had an ok time with it. The PvP kinda functions like WoW's on an RP realm; You have to flag yourself with one of those nasty golden coins from the Isle de Moirte that makes you a zombie in order to attack other players. Rather Odd, but at least it was fun to see my character as a Zombie (Or skeleton, don't quite remmember which you were). If this game were Free to Play? I'd stil be playing it. You lose quite a bit of features for Not paying, I hear. One time payment though. No item Shop either (I don't believe)

As for perfect world, The graphics weren't a factor, and the customization was also fairly good. I'm glad so many MMO's value people being diffrent, it's quite refreshing. However, some just seem to miss that 'Hook' that gets you at the very start. Warcack has it's 'Cinematic' opening, with RP elements abound, Pirates had it's VERY movie-barrowing opening, with the great Jack Sparrow himself breaking you out, and the rest of the Crew showing you the Ropes. Anyhow, as for perfect world, It had no really good Hook to start with, so I kinda got bored and quit. Killing mobs is only so satisfying, and Flying (With Wings) On only One (Elves, of all races) feels kinda... Unbalanced. It'll all work itself out in the end i'm sure, as every one else levels and gains a bit more grit.

Sho online Felt very... Japanese. Kinda like 9Dragons, just with a little less hook. Grinding was fun for a while, though. Too many 'Kill Quests' in games these days. You need something Besides the most boring and Repetetive gameplay element to be shown first. I mean, yes, I understand 'Complexity' as well as 'Noobs' could be a factor, but maybe you should, *Gasp* Innovate there? Every single game has em though, not just Perfect World, Sho Online, Pirates and....

RF Online. Eh, I got to play as a robot (Which EVERYONE Told me not to, but I did anyway). Even the OTHER robots tried calling me a noob and getting me to cry to the shortstop other race of Noobs. I like the Robot, and I was sticking with it. Sigh, more kill quests... but at least I get these on the field. Just gotta answer the Dang text message (What Am I, a Track Phone or somethin?!) to get the next Dang kill quest. But having a shotgun entertained me long enough to stay for another extra days. As you can tell by now, I played the Ranger or whatever class. It kept me going mostly though because My guy was Remeniscent of an Old Phantasy Star Universe character. Too bad you couldn't be a Fem-Bot, but Sae La vee.

I suggest Trying all these games for yourself, they all seem to be easy to get into and fun to play. Good for some off time from others, like WoW.

Oh, and About City of Heroes/Villians... I tried it out, and it was fun; I enjoyed the Customization by Far, plus a veriety of super Powers (No static electricity like Pants man? Aw...) gave me a lot of extra time playing through it. I robbed a bank six times in a row with (I think it was) a Pyro mage dude, and he got L33T new skillz and etc etc. Plus, making costumes kept me a bit longer than I expected, and the first five min was still Nothing but Choice A( Kill these for me over here Or B( Kill these for me over there. But I got to make 'The Justificater', a Knight-armor clad man with a large Broadsword. Too bad I couldn't get a shield.

And, Last but not least (Well, okay mabye it IS least), Hello Kitty online... Now after readin part of an article, What will they do about, Well, Adults playing the game? Less than looking-to-have-fun-with-thier-own-kid Adults? Cybering has been a bad part about games these days, and I'm sure that even *IF* Child Melestors were to come on to kids, they would still have a hard time finding one in a state-wide Area. Will the Cutest MMO to date be the Most contraversial? Will it Just be another way for Sleezes to get to Children? We can only hope that the People making 'Hello Kitty Online' have already Forseen these Possibilities. If it does Overthrow the Children, and Even WoW (Heh... that'll be the day I throw my Comp through a window), Could it support the Crime Industry? And Gold farmers... Huh, they couldn't pay me a thousand bucks to play that game for hours on end.

Is it Simply Humor?

So... 'Hello Kitty Online'.... Sounds Oddly like 'Hello Kitty Island Adventure'. Never heard of it? Well, 'Go out and Buy South Park season (Whatever) Before Everyone who Knows what I'm talking about has to kill you', as it would be said by the Great Fat one himself.

This has GOT to be humor... Nope, not april first, so It *could* be some kind of Cruel joke. Well, I guess it was bound to happen...

"Hey! You know why 'Make Love, not Warcraft' was so Popular?"

"Because it totally bashed the biggest MMO in history?"

"No! It was That Hello Kitty game!!"

... Too bad if I was in the room, I would had A( Laughed him out of it, or B( Done something to give him no memory of that Event what so ever, or C( Make him Never remmember anything at all. Ah well; Hello Kitty is Japanese Popular like Trans-fat among the food inustry these Days.

Oh, and thanks to Rezguise for the Aion Tip; It seems to take alot of innovation from a couple of other somewhat unique features to date, such as Player shops (Been around for a while) But when mixed with an AH, the players might do creative things with it. As well as the whole 'Wings' thing; Flying in MMO's seems to be rather Rare (Flyff and WoW being Exceptions that come to mind), but a feature not only difficult to pull of, but a game mechanic that can improve many other aspects of play, such as Player Killers dropping from the air. 'Flight of the Valkerie' gets a million more views, I'll bet.

S'all for now; more on the marrow.

Conan, Spore, Requiem, Warcraft and WAR... September's gunna be good.

Well, come this September, I'll be as busy as can be; Spore, Fallout, Lich king's coming, WAR's on it's way... And I won't be on Age of Conan. I played the Beta, They even sent me a free cloak for my troubles, and yet I still found it lacking... Stabilitiy, for my play style. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure others will love it. It seems like a Great concept and is well pulled off by the Combat system, and it takes a bit of skill to use it too, But it's a little High Def for me. I have a mechine that SHOULD be able to handle it, and yet it doesn't. So, in the end, I gave it up for a little less Looks, but better stability with gameplay.

Also played the Requiem Beta; seems good, just needs some more, how to put it... Ach, I suppose it would just be me complaining if I did say anything bad about it. It seems good, I suggest playing; if you can find any problems, feel free to share your thoughts. As for me, seemed good.

I preordered WAR CE from Amazon; seems the codes don't expire, even though I used the only one that supposedly did soon as I got it in fear that it could or would. I'm really looking forward to WAR; I know it looks like WoW, but honestly, doesn't WoW Look a bit like Everquest? In terms of UI and form of leveling? Pretty much any 3D MMO RPG you'll play these days uses the EQ system, just a little bit more stupid so it doesn't have SOO much depth. I hate EQ, but GOD did that game have DEPTH... It'd take me years to master some of that games crafting skills, and I got lost right off the bat; 'Take your quest and kill rats, eh? Screw you! I'm taking this portal... See ya later ya friggin'- OH MY GOD A DRAGON!' ... aaand thats when My head became smaller than my foot. Yeah... The, 'Follow the Smoke Trail' felt too much like I was on Dope, so it kinda went south from there...

Spore is what I've been waiting for since I heard of it back a few YEARS! I mean, yes, I enjoy that they are polishing it, making sure it's good before launch, but at this point they'd BETTER be sure. I mean, yes, I can see a game taking five years to develope, but Mr. Wright said in a conference I read a bit back that he'd been working on it since like 2001 or so. Nearly a Decade of devolopment... It could still live up to hype, though, with that much time under it's belt.

And Lich King; lookin' good, even though I gave up WoW a bit back. Since blizz has no competitors, they're pulling from other games good features to get some capable contendors out of the water; Siege warfare? Sounds like Dark age of Camalot or Warhammer online.... hm...

And as for Conan, I do believe it could get MUCH better with time. It could even still beat WAR. I doubt it, but you never know. For now, though, they need to get all the bugs out and start up the 'ol Engine. Fix it, then improve it. Oh, and I don't like ganking, also why I don't like Age of Conan.

Also grabbed a Beta Key for that 'Ghost Online' game... had like a 30 digit Non-copy-paste-able code... was a little hard to get by, but At the very least there won't be many Farmers on there. Ahh who am I kiddin'? There'll be Spammers regardless; they'll do anything to make money quick and easy at home os they don't have to work elsewhere, or at least don't have to work as hard. But, I'll still try it out even if it does look IDENTICAL to a Maple story gone all Japanese on us. You thought it was japanese before? Well, I saw a Dragon in the background of a screenshot, so it's a bit more than it's Cuz.

Yeah, The preorder of WAR seems to not be paying off yet... No Open Beta yet, No account regestration yet, No nothing. Not even really more than an offical mention on when it'll be. Taken directly from (I may be wrong on this) a developers mouth, 'Open Beta will be, in it's smallest form, a Single month Long'.

So, to me, sounds like it's going to be aimed for two months at this point, but doubtfully. And no Growing Orks or Dwarfen beards?! Come on, people! I was kinda looking forward as to how they would change Elves, humans, Goblins and Chaos, but hey, they can get around to it, right? Sigh... Hoping for a patch fix here. I'd say 3 patches and they'll have it, or an expansion. And just thinking; will you get your own hair in Warhammer online? I don't believe so; they showed off a couple of extra heads the CE orderers get (w00t), and they appear to have hair, but can they have diffrent hair? And what of the orks? Never seen an Elf with a Mohawk or an Ork with Curls... Hm...

Scratch that 'Elf Mohawk' bit... Mr. T in his WoW commercal suddenly comes to mind, and He had a CLASS for Mohawks, for god sake. Verne Troyer's was awesome though; Loved seeing that Gnome dance. Too bad he can't throw fireballs in real life; He'd be My stubby God.

Oh, and for those of you looking for the most disturbing thing involving a clown in History (For your own good, Don't! But don't worry; no gore, no blood, no nudity, Nothin' cept mabye a laugh (Or cry)):

Sorry, In advance and Excess.

Oh, and been reading LFG comic latly; Gotta love that Richard. At first I thought the whole thing would just be a big joke, but the series of comics seems to have a, *gasp*, PLOT. I know, right? After the 'Slaughter your World' bit (I cried... a little), I suppose they decided to make a movie. Dunno if that was in the works before hand, but that was the first I had heard of it myself.

Well, Stay Frosty Peoplz.

P.S. (Argh, left a comment for a footnote for myself, and tried the link didn't work... I got this from GUComic's, by the way)

Seems WoW Is going after the Achievements implemented into WAR also, Which is also a Rip off from LOTRO, which is just a rip off from Xbox... which uh... Well, they're using achievements, who isn't?
