If I was a voting man, and i'm not. I couldn't possibly vote for someone that says he isn't going to raise taxes for the majority of people, but instead thinks that taxing the oil companies is a good idea. I mean I'm just in my third semester of organic chemistry, but I know that a barrel of oil is used to make much more than just gasoline; like, the precursors for many pharmecuticles, plastics, and many other things.

So a direct result of his taxing big business will include a cost increase to the consumer.

People are stupid and Obama is capitalizing on that fact.  I don't like either canidate.  But I find it funny how obvious his tactics are, yet most people just smile and drool on themselves like he said something smart.

mrcalhou you really think it costs 50-60 dollars more a barrel to make than it did a year ago? Nope thats all profits for the oil companys so voting for mcain and big business tax breaks in hopes they take the tax savings and use it to provide more jobs and not line their pockets with it is crazy.

Ask yourself do you trust the big buisness or yourself more with extra money from paying less taxes?

jblah, I don't support any candidate and I will always prefer that I have my money over some business that doesn't even know I exist other than as a tiny blip on their gains. Besides if i'm not mistaken on this, and I might be, being that i'm a full-time student, when no income other than federal loans and grants (that I don't need to pay back since I want to teach high school science), I would probably benefit from obama's redistribution of wealth thing that I hear about every morning on (/shameless plug) bayou 95.7.  

What a dull ad btw, simplistic, symbolic, hygienic, is it supposed to woo potential gamers into voting? Sure I would leave my couch if games were like that 8-P

first off im not voting for a socialist, just look at what socialism has done the past 100 years (russia, cuba, china, germany, italy, vietnam, N. korea, etc.) voting for someone like this is wrong imo cuz he is trying to bring down what makes this country great.  u wanna know y cutting taxes to big businesses is good? bc a huge number of jobs in this country is from these companies and taxing anyone that makes over 250,000 is hurting both small and big companies alike.  higher taxes means more lay offs which means more ppl unemployed

@Jblah, I would trust the money in the hands of big business over the common person. Look how stupid people are. Look how many drug addicts, alcoholics, gamblers, and so many more that prove they can't handle their money responsibly, while these big businesses have proven they can use their money to succeed.

I haven't seen Obama say anything of value. Everything he says either has the word "Change" in it with out ever explaining what the change is, or accuses McCain of being Bush. And the stupid people soak it up and ask for more.

And yet McCain voted for over 90% of bushes policies, and is promising all the same things Bush did? Hmmm...

ya and i would rather have another bush than a stalin or lenin. do your homework and go read some history. u must be one of those uniformed voters.  i dont like bush all that much but he was thrown into a bad position and not everything is his fault cuz he is not all powerful unlike how obama will make himself if he becomes president.  he would prolly abolish the constitution (do u know what that even is or what it says valentina?) annd remember we have had a DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS the last two years and they have done a ton of stupid stuff.  remember that rescue plan for the economy that came out of bush's office? it was only 3 pages and when it got to the congress it became over 300 pages filled with pork.  i will never vote for a liberal cuz all they do is screw the country into the ground

lol @ xbellx777 don't be fooled any "pure" system will fail pure communism = fail , pure marxism = fail pure socialism = fail and yes even pure capitalism = FAIL .....   Any successful  system needs to be balanced with some aspects of other systems too much of any system is never a good thing. And as far as democrats and republicans are concerned their is a lot more gray between them than black and white don't be fooled by the rhetoric of either party. They BOTH screw the country over every so often due to incompetence , greed (be it  money or power) and/or arrogance, (often in the form of ideology).... And btw feel free to disagree and state your own opinion (as many undoubtedly will)     :)

oh i agree with u spdkilla but i would much rather have the socialist part of that system be the smallest part. and thekandy no its not mudslinging its my opinion theres a differnce. and im sorry i meant he could become another stalin or lenin. thats what socialism does when humans run it, all the money and power stay at the top while the ppl all are trying to survive.  yes you could make an arguement that times are rough now but at least i can go to college and do what i want to do not what the government wants me to do

Socialism has worked greatly in many european countries, such as Spain, France, Nordic countries, etc. The countries you talked about are communist dictatourships, completely different from modern socialism.

Hmm.  Yes.  All forms of socialism are bad! 

Therefore we need to get rid of Medicare, Social Security, Government-Run Unemployment Insurance, Pensions... and definitely need to give back those economic stimulus checks.

That being said...

It's all a matter of voting for the lesser of two evils, when they are pretty much just different evil mobs of the same level. 

The main message idea is not WHO to vote for.  The main message is "Get off your duff and vote."  The next raid will make no difference in the big picture.  Your vote will.

McCain FTW, Obama will end up like JFK, the american people arent ready for a black president imo.

yes charix i will go out on a limb and say some of those programs do need to be gone. alot of them were made by FDR when the great depression happened and havent been taken out yet

Obama wants to cut oilfeild drilling in the US. Thats posses 2 huge problems 1) I live in the mid-west and Oil feild provides many many jobs including mine. 2) we will become more dependant on forign oil supplies.

Anyways Mcain has been in service to this country for a lot longer than Obama, hell Mcain even fought in A War for this country. To me thats an important topic. He fought for our rights, and we the american people going to turn our back on him? Something is wrong here.  If Obama wins the election my faith that America is still the great country it was has took a major hit.

Obama says in one source he wants gamers to go out and vote and in another source that parents need to stop their kids from playing games and go outside to do something productive.

Even as an adult gamer I find that a little insulting. He is just trolling for more supporters, trying to earn the vote of both gamers and anti-gamers at the same time. Just telling both sides what they want to hear.

I am not a huge fan of Obama, but I think he's pretty much right. Most people who refer to themselves as "gamers" could really use some sun and get into the real world. Too many "gamers" think they're actually doing something, when in reality they're moving little pixels around on a screen, in order to gather up a different kind of pixel, because a taller cluster of pixels told them to! lol. I like games as much as the next guy, but people who think playing a computer game is a real skill are a joke.

The simple fact of the matter is Bush ruined are country, and had us believing that what he was doing was right by lieing to the public. The war in Irag, simply put is not the responsability of the US people. We have had to many American's die, when the majority of them do not even believe in this war. Yes, Osama Bin Laden should be found, but that is a CIA, Interpool task. Not the the job of the US military. The funds used to pay for this war could have gone to education, welfare and social securty reform, and to the many health and human service programs that are in dire need of funding. Ask yourself this, if you were the mother or father of a handicaped child who needed special schools, or equipment, that they could not have because McCain thinks that these programs are unnecassary, and then to be told to help support the troop. Another thing, if you had a daughter would you want her to look-up to the likes of Sarah Palen?  when she goes to a school that can not longer afford new books, computers, of school supplies, because there is no funding? where do you think that child will end up? If we allow McCain to have the power to deside that finacial aid to college students, is less important than military actions, is just insanity, again where will these children end up. We will soon have a generation of children that will never know higher education. Then who will be the next round of upper class citizens? All of you gamers that are college students, over the age of 18, do you want to be drafted? if this war continues, what other option will there be, but for a draft? Who ever told Bush that we wanted another Veitnam war? that is exactly what this has turned into, and McCain wants to continue in Bushes footsteps. Befor you vote, seriously consider what life will be like for comming generations if McCain was to become president.

First off, if you want to see where our economy went wrong, I suggest you look for an article from 1999 that discusses how Clinton pressured FNMA into lowering the standards for a FNMA loan, thus creating the presence of subprime lending, shame too many people fell for it, hook, line and sinker.

As I've already voted, I can say with confidence that my vote will not go to Obama and his socialistic ideal.  Every thing he spouts will eventually lead to less AMERICAN jobs and less private industry.

Raise taxes on the rich and you dont' make them poorer, they will compensate by passing those taxes on to the poor who are forced to spend an increasing higher percentage of their income on the goods that the rich produce, or they shift the jobs overseas thus increasing our unemployment.  You simply can not tax corporations, they don't pay them, YOU do.

When did people become so lazy and dumb that they just beileved every single thing that they hear via the media? Why doesn't anyone question or study or think for themselves anymore?
 

I'm in that whole..."Heart-stopping" silent moment still, now that our new president has been elected...With either candidate there was great potential for good or bad...But I think we'll find that Obama's well thought out plans are all lies, his charm a facade, and the "love and devotion" he has for us "joe the plumber" types is all a crock.

I'm not a republican, infact I hate politics, but I have to say; Thank you for getting my guns taken away >.>, Thank you for giving me hope on marijuana reform, and thank you, voters, for voting YES to raising fucking taxes....You're all wonderful...
