What is your opinion about E-love? Whether positive or negative, there are more and more people finding their true love from virtual worlds on the internet, the dominant communication medium.

Now another E-love has come true. But a bit out of the ordinary, this one is an international marriage. The husband, Sherif, is from Cairo. And the wife, Melanie, is German from Berlin. They encountered each other in the MMO Conquer Online 3 year ago, and then met and engaged in Feb 2007. Presently they have already had a 3-month-old baby whose name is Adam.

For the upcoming Valentine’s Day, the couple accepted an interview to introduce their story to the game community.

I don't think e-love is so strange. It's happening a lot, and the marriages -seem- to be rather successful so far. I think by meeting over games, you already have one common interest, and likely, simply through chatting (Where people are less afraid of being themselves), more interests can come up. And either, they're going to be common, or not. In today's society, no matter where you live, people are going to be pretenders, when it comes to those first few dates. They'll pretend to like a certain type of movie, or music, or a certain lifestyle. On the internet, people, for some reason, don't feel the need to do that. I think e-love is a successful way to do things, if you go about it carefully, and realize, the person STILL may not be who they say they are.
