Kakao Games has published a new FAQ on the Black Desert Online site that gives players a handy guide to "New World", the next major update coming on Wednesday, November 30th. New World is BDO's version of regional mega servers. The move is being made to better facilitate Siege Wars and to revitalize the in-game economy.
The FAQ also deals with questions including:
- how long the process will last
- how many channels New World will have
- what happens to players with warehouses / achievements / titles / workers / housing / pearls & loyalty / pets / friends lists / chat block lists / contribution / energy / knowledge / horses / etc. across multiple servers
- what happens to workers who have tasks when New World deploys
- what happens to nodes & regions
- whether or not sieges will be disabled
- how many character slots will be available after the merge
